A microbiologist in Germany believes that the use of an updated version of a 100-year-old Tuberculosis vaccine may work as an intermediate treatment for Covid-19. CNN's Frederik Pleitgen reports.

The news is now full of the recognition that the Covid-19 hyas had less impact in nations where TB inoculation has been mandatory.
Portugal has fewer infections than Spain. Portugal had mandatory TB vacination.

LOL. Nobody knows how it works, but BCG is a crazy vaccine. That it protects against some other diseases (leprosy, for example) is logical, but it also works against one type of cancer.
Latest estimates from two different sources is cutting down the rate of virus infection by about 10x. (Yes, it is not absolute protection).
This coupled with the Iron-ion issues being looked at are giving us more avenues to attack.
How about hyper immune gobulin?
BCG is used sometimes as a bladder cancer treatment.
They now have the virus’s RNA model in a non infectious form it appears. This allows testing:

What we have so far that seems to work, though not at all the stages of the disease and not to all the same effectiveness -
1. Remdesivir - a semi-failed drug intended to attack ebola, was an investigational drug to find out what else it might be good for before all this started. Initially used as a hail mary attempt on a couple people in the US with COVID-19, now in expanded testing and frantic usage in China.
2. The HIV drugs - ritonavir and lopinavir. Originally created to fight HIV, and still doing that today, but have been found effective in some surprising other uses in fighting Hep C and HPV (repsectively.) Initially used by a doctor who was infected and had nothing to lose, worked, now in expanded testing and usage in Asia.
3. The cocktail - hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin or now doxycycline and possibly zinc. This is what Trump has been mentioning. First used in Asia as a spitball idea, confirmed to be useful in France.

If this proves to be an effective drug for treatment of COVID 19 then all Pres Trump would have to say is use it, would be bans from the market in a heartbeat. The left wants as many deaths as possible in their quest for power,
