I just read that Reagan fired ALL the IGs on his first day in office.

There will be vastly less fraud with the highly competent people Trump has already nominated Obama holdovers are invariably;y corrupt and sleazy. We had better hope so.
To: hawkaw
Oh puleeze,.When did Fauci even start advocating for sealing the borders (if ever)? Trump has been trying to secure the borders for three years. Long before coronavirus.
Fauci, who is hard core Hilary Clinton supporter, means would have been against securing our borders by building a strong wall.
Exactly how do you secure a border without wals eh, Mr Fauci?
To: hawkaw
You are absolutely incorrect that Fauci is waging a war on the anti malaria drug and any other drug. Of course I am right. ou need to read his statements from the time President Trump started promoting Chloroquine.
He is a doctor and thus, he can say it shows promise etc. but he has to base his decisions on proper scientific studies.
Which just so happens not to be his job.
He is not the FDA. It's not his business to approve or disapprove drugs. The FDA, who's job it is to approve or disapprove drugs, has already given provisional approval for Chloroquine to be used for coronavirus.
Fauci has ZERO experience in treating anybody with coronavirus. He needs to shut up already about the approval of drugs for coronavirus.

And a very good thing too.
Maybe its one of the reasons he won 49 states in 1984.
To: SmokingJoe
The IGs Trump is looking to fire were appointed by Barack Obama or beforehand. President Trump wants his own people in those positions now. Better late than never, keep it coming.

Of course I m right.
Has Fauci EVER advocated for a border wall? NOPE.
Just how do you close a 2,000 mile border to prevent coronavirus from coming in, without a border wall?
Over 30 million illegals in America who simply streamed in through the highly porous borders, say, “Hello!”
President Trump is the one who has been fighting for a border wall since day one.

On Freerepublic or anywhere else, I'll back my smarts, sanity, gravitas, grasp of the facts and everything else against yours, anytime any day.
So far, you have proved to be a pathetic poor excuse of a human being. Just saying.
Liberalism is a disease. You are going to need to seek help.

YES. Our POTUS has learned and is learning much about the DC cesspool.
(A swamp is a natural thing, provides habitat and cleans the waters; a cesspool is a man-made pit for chit).

Bannon was right of course. But what he advised should have been obvious.
Deep State could not believe their good fortune and Trump’s foolishness.

I have no idea how you got on to the topic of border walls.
As I have indicated, there is a large task force of various people including the doctors. They debate and provide advice to the president and they president makes the decision.
Fauci is but one person on that task force who provides advice. So far he has supported Trump’s decisions and is highly respected by Trump.
In this battle, I support Trump and his task force.
So you are wrong and have a nice day.

I have no idea how you got on to the topic of border walls. You brought up the Fauci "advising President Trump to close the borders to fight coronavrus"
Again, I ask, how do you close a 2,000 mile border that has had illegals streaming in for decades, without a border wall?
Who has been fighting to build a border wall since day one, long before coronavirus? President Trump, not Fauci.
To: SgtHooper
On Day 1, Trump did not know who his friends or enemies were It sounds like your saying President Trump was naive?

But if that were true, why can he do it now, but not 3 1/2 years ago? Stop...think...remember.

Well, post-impeachment, the anti-Trumpists are seriously low on ammunition. They’re reduced to shooting spit-balls (tin foil hat aside). But still, if he just replaced all of them on Day 1, what’s the worst that could have happened? A bogus impeachment? Seems kind of inevitable.
To: BobL
I dont know why the hell Trump was willing to leave them in place so long, as it was OBVIOUS to his supporters as to what was going on. How soon we forget.

You demand certainty and are very uncomfortable where uncertainty prevails. Under such conditions you should just be quiet "Shut up," he explained.
I have a different standard to suggest...make the case for the economic carnage being done in the name of "erring on the side of caution."
And...if you aren't willing, at least acknowledge it's an open question.
