“Wonderful! Now get Captain Crozier back to his ship.”

And attach him to the anchor.

Can’t take the heat? Get out of the kitchen. I’m sure there is a manly retired Admiral about that will take the post, and support his Commander-in-Chief.

I doubt it. The only reason SECNAV got involved was because the Navy’s admirals refused to remove Crozier. I expect the good captain will be getting a medal for his behavior before this is all done.

I have a young relative who last year busted out of the Navy 3.5 years into his 4 year contract. No benefits.

He said he couldn’t take the horrible morale and attitudes any longer.

He was on a Carrier.

They both took their cases to the press.

The Navy Secretary did not. Crew members recorded his speech to them, and those crew members went to the press.

I'm thinking the chain of command needs to identify who did that, and take appropriate steps.

I remain convinced he is better off not in charge of anything. If I was in charge, he would be in chains in the brig.

Irrelevant if reports are correct that it was sent to multiple recipients outside secure channels.

Extremely put, but I lost a Submarine Captain for a (to me) trivial matter. A good co and my first Jack in the hand I was delt over my little tour ( there were 3 all told, not a bad hand in 5 card draw). Thing is, I was a peon in the chain. I didn’t know the whole story and the upper levels didn’t give a damn about my opinion. End Of Story.

Barky only accelerated it. Dick Cheney started the Party with tailhook. There was a ruthless purge of the old hardened officers from the 70s and 80s. Women and sensitive men were pushed to the top. From that moment on, the Navy has gone downhill.

Now we have a generation of snowflakes, being lead by slightly better educated snowflakes. All pushing leftism and sensitivity.

China smiles, knowing they will take over the South China sea without firing a shot.

Hell, they managed to get a Chicom propaganda cadre into the White House press briefing there to read off a Chicom press release. All i can say is don’t give up your guns, stockpile rice and some SPF 5 million sunscreen.

Fighting your battles in the press results in no one winning.

The Navy Secretary did not go to the press. He addressed the crew of the ship. Members of the crew went to the press. The speech was not meant to go public. It was expected to be confined to the crew members and the crew members needed to hear it.

The captain was relieved for just cause, and yes, he was stupid to go to the press with his complaints.

Obama’s legacy will be what a successful job he did at weaponizing every damn department of government and turning our military into a politicized fricking bunch of PANSIES!!

By the way. We allow sailors to roam the ship with devices, videotaping, photographing and posting on social media at will. Bet the Chinese LOVE that when they download every sailors phone at night.

>>Wonderful! Now get Captain Crozier back to his ship.<<

I agree. Make him XO with new Capt. Let him earn it again with remedial explaining what to do and not do regarding chain of command and opsec.

Captain Crozier isn’t worthy to captain a rowboat. Crozier told the world that we were down an aircraft carrier, so anyone who wants to attack us, now’s a good time. He’s an idiot. The Secretary did the right thing but said way too much about it. He said enough in 3 paragraphs, but kept going for what seemed like a speech.

“I don’t think the captain leaked the information rather his email was leaked by someone else.”

He cc’d it to people not in the chain of command, and who had no obligation to respect confidentiality.

If we are going to go after Hillary for using an unsecured server, then we have to go after this officer for his similarly careless actions.

Not harsh enough, though I won’t call for his execution.

He literally blabbed military readiness status to our enemies.

Eddie Slovik did less.

I was ROTC as well. And we got that same message about dressing down someone. There is a huge difference between saying, “that was a stupid thing to do” and saying “you were stupid to do that” Consider too that Crozier has the corona virus and the Secretary knew that when he made the comments. Now I read the senior Admirals were opposed to the quick relief of the Captain so I think the Navy could smell like a rose with the public and the crew if they tell Crozier to get back to his ship.

But that’s only if there was a need for the SecNav’s direct involvement. Otherwise, leave the matter to the chain-of-command.

SECNAV only became involved because Crozier’s uniformed chain of command found his erratic behavior acceptable. That, for me, is the most damning thing about this episode. The Deep State rot is wide and deep in the military.

Wonderful! Now get Captain Crozier back to his ship.

You're kidding?

The man deliberately sent copies of his email to 22 people through unsecured email. He was clearly trying to get his email leaked to the public so as to provoke a backlash against what he thought was an improper response by his chain of command.

He also revealed the sorry state of readiness of his ship to foreign enemies.

The man absolutely should not be in command of a US Navy war vessel.

Also, i've read that his direct superior was an admiral who was in actual residence aboard this ship at the time. WTF?

Modly told the candy-assed sailors what they needed to hear. Pity we’re now such a nation of snowflakes that he’s been pressured to resign.
