Upstate to New York City: ‘Drop dead. Literally.’
City and State ^ | April 6, 2020 | Ben Adler

On Friday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a temporary emergency measure in New York’s battle against the new coronavirus pandemic. The state would borrow unused ventilators from upstate, which has seen far fewer cases of the virus per capita than downstate, and lend them to overwhelmed hospitals in the New York City region, where the life support devices are in short supply. “I’m not going to let people die because we didn’t redistribute ventilators,” the governor said. As Cuomo has repeatedly noted, the virus is expected to travel across the state like a wave. Today, New York City is short of ventilators, hospital beds and medical personnel, leaving hospitals to ration lifesaving supplies and let some patients die. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said last week that the city will run out of the breathing machines in a matter of days unless it secures an additional 2,500 to 3,000. In a few weeks or months, upstate may be in the same boat. Just as Cuomo has begged other states and the federal government to help New York in its hour of need – and promised to ship them to the next hot spot as soon as New York’s crisis is over – he said New York will have to deploy its resources to the neediest areas at any given time. Given downstate’s greater resources, upstate could end borrowing a lot more from downstate when their turn comes.

"The state would borrow unused ventilators from upstate...and lend them to overwhelmed hospitals in the New York City region"

More like Cuomo was sending the National Guard out to confiscate them, not borrow them. And the politicians upstate were absolutely right. Once those ventilators were gone, they'd never see them again.

Lies. All lies. They have all the equipment they need. The crap coming out of Cuomo, and Deblasio has to be to get it on record so they can use the media filed lies to beat the President about the head and shoulders down the road when they need to for political purpose. It’s an old Democrat dirty trick they drag out of the bottom of their skanky bag of dirty tricks often.

That was Friday, an age in this rapidly evolving mess.

Today Cuomo says NYC has enough. That’s good.

I live upstate. My wife and I are in our 60’s and she has cancer and diabetes. She’s on chemo. If she gets COVID19 she will likely die.

NYC can pound sand. They have enough, leave upstate alone.

This is even more interesting because didn’t Cuomo say the state had @ 14,000 ventilators in reserve, and they’re only using 6-7,000 now. Why do they need to raid upstate?

Has everybody forgotten that these ventilators need a trained respiratory therapist to operate them? And it is a 3-shift, 7x24 operation to monitor the equipment else the patient dies at the first problem they encounter.

You can steal the equipment, but you cannot steal the people needed to operate the equipment. And you cannot train them in just a few weeks either. It takes 2-3 years.

And BTW, the survival rate for COVID-19 patients on a ventilator is about 15%. It is very much a last ditch effort. The solution for this pandemic will be anti-virus medications or vaccines, not ventilators.

This ventilator thievery is all misdirection for political gain. To hell with these politicians.

People north of the Tappen Zee bridge and East of the Cross Island Pkwy have been supporting the NYC area for generations. This is nothing new.

This is a quote from a youtube channel called donze52

It is based in McCook, Nebraska

I found it of interest.

Here is how I cured this covid crap. There aren’t many tests in Oklahoma, but I’m 99.9% sure I had this, because the symptoms are identical to what people reported in Europe. I had a low grade fever and runny nose for 2 weeks. I just thought I had a bad cold and nothing else.

After 2 weeks the fever broke, and I felt back to normal, but then the next day all hell broke loose and this virus attacked my lungs like nothing I’ve ever seen. I was gasping for air and felt like I was drowning on the fluid it was causing. It was going balls to the wall apesht crazy in my airways. The attack happened so fast that I barely had time to think, but I ran in and got my hair dryer, and started breathing in the hot air to slow the virus replication.

This virus was replicating like a Mother F’er, but that hot air slowed it down where I wasn’t suffocating.

After I kicked its ass with my hair dryer and slowed the replication and the fluid it was causing, I put a space heater in my car and stayed in there for 2 days.

I used the car, because it was a small space that could easily be heated above 95 degrees. After 48 hours in the car/oven, all of the virus was killed out of my airways and I was cured. Fortunately I had been studying information about this virus and knew how to kick its ass with heat.

Lab tests were done on this virus in India that showed the virus was killed out at an air temperature above 95 degrees for 48 hours.

Another test done in Europe showed this virus replicated the fastest at an air temperature of 47.6 degrees.

Interestingly my attack happened in an air temp of 50 degrees. Had I not studied this virus and knew about how it behaved, I would have stayed in that 50 degree air and this thing would have kept replicating and killed me.

This dam thing reminds me of a bioweapon, because it attacked and replicated at a speed like no other virus I have seen. If you look at the earth, this virus is rampaging in a narrow band around the world where temps are between 41-51 degrees.

If you go below that band where temps are warmer, they have a few cases, but it’s nothing like it is in places like Northern Italy, Spain and NY where temps are hovering in the 40’s to low 50’s.

Anyway, the objective is to kill this virus and so far the doctors don’t have a pill to kill it, so you have to use a different weapon. If you think about it, mother nature uses hot air to kill viruses. Every year the air warms and the hot air enters people’s nasal passages and destroys the viruses, which ends our flu and cold season. It doesn’t matter if the sun warms the air, a hair dryer warms the air, or a space heater warms the air, it’s gonna have the same virus killing effect.

Yes, most encouraging. It’d be useful to know how ICU discharges (I guess that’s what they are called) for all reasons of entry and exit including death are going. Or, just simply a chart of current ICU’s in use, for all reasons, would be useful. It’s the accumulation of ICU beds in use vs. capacity that will make or break this thing in terms of patients lost...
