Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) holds a significant lead over Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) in the race for her Senate seat, a new poll found.

A Battleground Connect survey of likely voters in the upcoming special election first reported by Politico revealed that 36 percent support Collins, who has represented the 9th district in Georgia since 2013, for the Senate seat currently held by Loeffler.

Loeffler currently trails both Collins and a Democratic opponent, pastor Raphael Warnock of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, and sits at 13 percent in the poll. Warnock registered support from 16 percent of voters, indicating that Collins has a clear advantage in the race.

Oh I know how and why it happened, crap like her appointment and subsequent insider trading are exactly why Trump is President. Folks are tired of this crap.

GA Governor is slime as far as I’m concerned.

I think it’s real, and a good thing. Loeffler voted with Trump, but I think it was only out of necessity. I would not want her as part of the Minion Romney caucus.

This would in essence be a “leans Trump” to a “solid Trump” movement.

Yeah, but she also met with the President a day or two before he announced his travel ban on China. Then the next day (I think it was...I’d have to go back and check the news stories), she dumped travel stocks. That is just too much for me. My hubby and I realized things were going to go south for a few weeks..WEEKS! Not months and we made appropriate decisions. I think she traded on insider info. Plus she has never disclosed (not that I’ve heard) who made the decisions.

Good, we do not need multi-millionaire trophy wives in Congress, especially when they use the information from meetings to enrich themselves at the expense of their constituents.

Hearing her interviewed, she sounded dumb as a box of rocks. Hot looking in an escort sort of way.

Oh, she has plays it “purty” in her ads, etc. Also, with her votes (when it didn’t count). Chamber of Commerce is all in, so are all the usual GOPe groups (Club for Growth). But, I do not trust her. Not one bit. She was against President Trump until she wanted the position.

We need to neutralize the few Democrats-in-Republican-clothing, such as Murkowski and Collins. (Romney and the Amnesty Senators Grahamnesty, Rubio, Hoeven)

Senator Loeffler seriously wounded her own chances by at least APPEARING to use inside trading information in her recent sell-off and buy-in on certain stocks, in regards to how they would be impacted by a nationwide shutdown.

Righting a wrong.

Partner, I could not have said that any better.

I do not live in the Great State of Georgia but we need Collins in the Senate.

BTW, who in the Senate is supposed to go after that "Schiff for Brains" guy who brought on those Impeachment charges on President Trump. "Schiff for Brains" made himself the Judge, Jury and Executioner.

Good summation.

And we need to primary Kemp.

Collins I can truly do without. I mean Maine, I would rather you elected a Democrat. If you have to kiss an ass, best it be an attractive one...

Stp calling him Gov. Kemp.

His real name is Gov. Gump.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Forrest, why do the people of Georgia deserve this.

Gov. Gump didn’t know until yesterday that the China virus could be spread by asymptomatic people.

Let’s order people to shelter in and close more businesses, but HEY - we can open our beaches.

Seems like the Corona Virus was the charm. If it hadn’t interrupted the GA primary, Loeffler was in the lead and couldn’t stolen the show.

But oh how people’s actions speak louder than words.

She also played hardball politics with her advertising.

Adios, Loeffler. I’m voting for a true Trump supporter. Go Rep Collins!

1 rat and 2 R running against each other. With all the BS the rats are going to be pulling we could lose this seat.

It is NOT “her Senate seat”.
You would expect a little more precision in the language. And you would be disappointed.

Actually, I think she has been quite impressive when I heard her speak, but after dumping the stock and the news hitting every single news outlet, she didn’t have a chance. She’s toast.

A lot of people were upset when Doug Collins decided to run against her. I was excited and pleased that he was willing to put his conservative values out there instead of taking the “let’s support who is most likely to win” narrative. Turns out he was right when he said she was not the “best thing for Georgia” or something along those lines. In Georgia, it is not always “who has the most money” wins. Just my 2 cents. I’m not in his district, and have never spoken to the guy, but I’ve paid attention to what he does. I’ve also paid attention to what she does. That is the difference to me.
