Dairy is government controlled industry designed to make dairy producers profitable. What you are seeing is the fruit of government policies.
If it saves one family farm...

During the Great Depression, government interventions impelled farmers to destroy crops and livestock even while American children were suffering from food deprivation and malnutrition. This is the type of thing President Dr. Trump was concerned about when he said the cure can't be more harmful than the disease.

Don’t they still get paid from the government like they do on other products?
They can’t just not produce. Cows gotta be milked.

“Until the government starts respecting farmers enough to let them stand in the market on their own two feet, there will be a lot more spilled milk to cry over.”
An idiotic statement. Most dairy farms will not stand on their own two feet and they beg for protection. Why should they be given any respect?
ALL laws regarding food should be repealed. I fear Walmart, Costco, and Kroger much less than the government. I guess US adults cannot be trusted to pick their food, their drugs, their appliances, their fuel, barber, funeral home, and etc ad nauseum.
But if it saves one life...

Said that the warehouse is so full of TP and Paper Toweling they cant hardly find anywhere to put it.Guessed this might happen. Everyone hoarded toilet paper. Now they're sitting on a year or two's supply. Why buy more?

...although consumer demand for milk in grocery stores is booming, it isnt easy for suppliers who normally make bulk products for restaurants to suddenly make the transition and make items for consumers. For example, it would cost millions of dollars simply to install the new equipment required to switch from making barrel cheese, used in restaurants, to making cheese wedges, used by grocers, per Reuters. Oh nonsense.
You continue to make barrel cheese. It is not like it will go bad. Cheese is CUT into wedges, not made into wedges.

No one is rationing milk where I am. Who would horde milk? It doesn’t keep, and doesn’t freeze well.

She said she would just put whole gallons of milk in their big chest deep freezer, and it was fine later when thawed, just shake it up,...That is very interesting...glad to know. I wondered about the freezability of milk for long range boat cruising.

Supply chain steady-flow states got totally interrupted in many sectors.
Next, there will be reversal shocks as idled restaurants, sports venues, festivals, schools and others go back online and require full restocking of all their fresh foods.

Sure would be nice if we could just buy it from the farmers like we did when I was a kid. Then we could make our own butter again!

Ive got a spare refrigerator that would have room for about 8 or 10 of the Machine Bags. It would probably last Us about a month.
