Nitric oxide is emerging as a potential treatment for COVID-19, and doctors around the world are testing it again after it had shown to kill another coronavirus, SARS.
"It's a pretty remarkable drug," Massachusetts General Hospital critical-care specialist Dr. Lorenzo Berra, who is leading a trial, told the L.A. Times. "It has a risk profile that is minimal." . . . .
Dr. Berra said nitric oxide was also found to kill a coronavirus that leapt from bats to humans, University of Leuven in Belgium researchers found in 2004, according to the report. "The story ended there," Berra told the Times, noting the SARS epidemic ended in eight months and "nobody tested anymore."

Hey old guys, let’s hear it for nitric oxide!
I probably should not have ventured on to this thread. Buit I think some doctors are indeed using heparin to treat Some COVID patients.
My mother has AFIB, so I am familiar with the drug. I am glad she doesnt take it amymore.
“Commonly know as Niacin.”
Make sure it’s the regular Niacin, and not flush-free or time-released.
I am SAVED :)
Covid and Viagra,,,?
Is this a fiendish plot by the Chicoms ...?
Get er done :)
Interesting, since I turned 70 had been required to use a cane for years to get around. Three years ago at 85 I decided to start taking powdered Beets concentrate mostly Beet Power (brand) and since then don’t need a cane. Am also now taking Tonic soda and zinc supplement once a day.
The LAST thing I need is something that produces more gas in my body.
Will NO farts make you happy?
Viagra helps you keep a stiff upper lip.

Oh, and I'll give you a little tip: urine should only be green if you're Mister Spock. </Red Dwarf>
I have aFib.
My wife became an RN shortly after she turned 21 and before we got married.
She worked a couple of years in a coronary care and 35 years as the lead RN in a family practice group.
When I developed aFib, she was right be side me on when ever I saw a cardio. When their top guy suggested heparin.
She said, “Doctor, now I’m talking the way my husband used to when he came back from a cruise with the Navy!
Basically it was some good Navy talk woven in with good nursing knowledge that I was not to be put on Heparin.
I ended up on Eliquis not Heparin.
The doctor still laughs whenever I see him.
It is a great drug. It does what it is supposed to do without all the testing bs.
viagra was initally used for pulmonary hypertension IIRC...
Cat couldnt scratch it
heparin or similar meds are used routinely with most hospital patients, at least in my neck of the woods...as a prophylactic....
are you sure it was heparin, or coumadin?...
Ouch! That one looks like it would hurt!
