President Donald Trump sparked confusion Saturday by claiming a study suggested that people with the autoimmune disease lupus were not as affected by coronaviruspresumably because they commonly use the drug hydroxychloroquinebut then immediately backtracked, saying maybe thats correct, maybe its false, youre going to have to check it out, and his own medical advisor downplayed any connection.

...and he lied about Lupus patients!
He started confusion last week too, according to the Bolshevik blowhards.
Something passinl strange is going on about the use of Hydroxy Chloroquine. It is bein used by about 27% of doctors in the USA.
It has saved millions of lives abroad. Presiden Trump knows that it worlks, yet the FDA efuses to call it more than a test drug.
My oldest son has been taking Plaquenil for his RA for several years. He takes it twice-a-day, but I don’t know what the dosage is. The company he works for sent everyone home about 3-4 weeks ago, so he’s been working strictly from home, which means, other than when he goes shopping, he really doesn’t come into contact with anyone else...just his little kitty :-)
There has been anecdotal evidence that people treated for autoimmune diseases don’t show up with CV very often.
Leave the man alone.
Trump is correct. Another piece of data which would be discovered if the scienctists would bother to investigate would be the correllation between blood pressure meds, Statins, Ibuprofin, glucophage and thyroid meds on Zinc saturation status. They will find that the majority of folks over 50 succumbing to this virus are on 1 or more of these drugs, in addition, the young teenager that died was reported to have psoriasis and arguably, psorasis is innitiated by low Zinc saturation. Hydroxy Chloroquine works as an ionosphore, pushing Zinc into the cellular space where it prevents the virus from multiplying. So, yes they will that those taking the drug for Lupus will show protection from the virus and lower mortality.

summary:
* lupus patient funeral director recalls seeing covid-19 death certificates stating lupus as contributory factor (were they taking hcq? - not stated)
* lupus patient concerned about supply of hcq due to increase in prescribing for covid-19
* hcq for covid-19 causing intense debate among rheumatologists
* one mich. rheumatologist who treats lupus patients says no proof of benefit due to no formal studies
* lupus patient thinks patients must prove they have covid-19 before getting prescription, else “infringes on criminal” (what about prophylactic prescription for first line health workers?)
iow yet another framing hit and run article on hcq for covid-19
Yes they act like they can’t understand normal conversation.
Like the idiot who asked him today why he says we should practice social distancing now but we need to open our economy up as soon as possible? Moron asks “which is it?”
So the reporters can’t understand the concept of future plans?
How is it confusing for the president to mention we don’t know the answer yet, but it needs investigation and might be a good sign?
Exactly. Dr Oz has been saying that in a study, these people with Lupus were on the medications and in that small study of about 80 or so, none of them contacted the virus or something to the affect.
All the type of meds listed in post number 9 cause lower Zinc levels over time and the diseases that those meds are prescribed for are partially a result from a duration of low Zinc saturation, according to numerous studies published decades ago.
Two family members and a friend all take the medication for Lupus and arthritis. Their 3 doctors told all three just to add a vitamin with zinc.
Otoh the study coming out of Australia says that the medication we give our dogs for heart worm will kill the virus in 24-48 hours. Dosages must be determined. But this far no side effects.
I wasn’t confused. It was clear as crystal to me. A reasonable suspicion has arisen from the medical community that Lupus patients, who use Hydroxychloroquine, may not be getting ill from Covid-19.
Trump said it might be true and it might not be but should be studied.
Clear, reasonable and logical. A five year old could understand it perfectly.
Reporters need it in crayon and carefully explained by therapists for the mentally challenged.
Here is a random double blind clinical trial in China:

Interestingly, through a follow-up survey, we found that none of our 80 SLE patients who took long-term oral HCQ had been confirmed to have SARS-CoV-2 infection or appeared to have related symptoms. In addition, among the 178 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 pneumonia in our hospital, none were receiving HCQ treatment before admission. All predicting the use of HCQ in SARS-CoV-2 infections.
