The Trump Organization has been forced to layoff around 1,500 employees as it struggles to deal with COVID-19-related closures of its properties around the United States.
Like other groups in the hotels and hospitality field facing state-mandated shutdowns, the Trump Organization has responded by cost-cutting, trimming staff from hotels and clubs in New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, Vancouver and Honolulu, the Washington Post reported, citing public filings.

His companies get no help from stimulus.

Those businesses also qualify for big dollar handouts from uncle sucker so why should they care? Its not their money anyways

On the bright side, their ex boss gave them 600 extra a week for 4 months on unemployment.
They insist that Trump Org. doesn’t benefit from the stimulus and then crow that there are layoffs.
Everyone and everything is getting hit due to the coronavirus shutdown,it’s a wake up call to everyone to always be ready for the unexpected.
A virus,fires,storms,earthquakes are always coming down the pike now people know to be ready for anything.
Remember how how the hoarders spoiled it for everyone.
And airlines buying back their stocks, then whining for a bailout.
And the Weak Pubs and the EVIL Dems wrote in the bill that this organization gets NO MONEY from the RESCUE PLAN!! NOT ONE CENT for these employees!
Get real.....Trump had nothing to do with the Dem House and Senate bill.....nothing.
They are NOT allowed to buy back their stock......

In a way, but if you have 25% of your former patrons, do you need 100% of your former staff?
I guess that’s getting pretty deep for today’s “journalists”.
Layoffs are missing a golden opportunity. That is, instead they should be directed to temporarily work for congressional and senate campaigns around the US.
Many of them could even run for congress in currently “uncontested” Democrat seats. Even though they would likely lose, some of them might very well win. And they could work in support of newer Republican candidates, giving them both support and further connecting them to both the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and the Trump campaign.
Right now the NRCC is flush with cash, and so is the Trump campaign, so they could be given a lot of bonuses for this one or two month “sabbatical”.
Wins all the way around.
