What is the situation in Sweden?
On April 2nd, Sweden had 5,466 reported cases of Covid-19 patients, 559 people in intensive care and 282 deaths.
As of now, on average, 53 out of every 10,000 people are infected. People showing symptoms are on average 61 years old. Over 60% of the deceased are older than 80 years old.
By way of comparison, Denmark and Norway, two neighbouring countries and both in lockdown, recorded 3,672 and 5,253 reported cases of illness, and 123 and 54 deaths respectively. We are starting to see shifts in the dynamics of contamination in these three countries, which have adopted different strategies.
As elsewhere, cases in Sweden are increasing daily. Up-to-date figures are continuously released by the Swedish National Public Health Authority on its website.
To the astonishment of European neighbours who, for some, have been paralysed for several weeks now, Sweden is operating "normally" for the most part - notwithstanding a few additional measures announced by the government in the last few days. Even the Netherlands, whose population isn’t under lockdown either, has adopted stricter measures, including schools and restaurants’ closures and a ban on gatherings.
In Sweden, schools from kindergarten to primary, and even lower secondary, remain open while high schools and universities have started to close down. Gatherings can continue provided they are limited to 50 people which means restaurants remain open, although this is less and less the case for bars. Citizens aged 70 or over are encouraged to stay at home, but everyone else may go out, provided they avoid unnecessary travel (including during the Easter holidays).

That’s the average in Badly Hit brooklyn and Manhattan areas and every other state wants us sealed off.

It’s either a good number or it isn’t.
It really will be interesting to see. Not wishing ill for Swedes but if this is their decision they may have to just , as he said, “Ride that sucker out!” Once things start rolling it will be very difficult to change their minds.
Freedom and independence should NEVER be allowed!
Sweden is right.
Herd Immunity is largely going to happen everywhere. It’s just a question of how many weeks it will take.
Considering their Muslims wouldn’t obey the lockdown anyway, there wouldn’t have been a point in doing it anyway.

Right, they said Denmark and Norway, two neighbouring countries and both in lockdown, recorded 3,672 and 5,253. But they did not give the corresponding Population numbers. Without that you cannot do an actual comparison. So why omit that..hmm?
Sweden has the lowest population density in Europe.
Sweden is over run by the Muslim horde, no way self isolation would work. It would be like declaring a bug free zone in a locust swarm.

Sweden’s fatality rate was 1.09% on March 22. Yesterday, it was 5.84% and climbing.
The US rate is 2.5% and mostly due to 4 states (NY, WA, MI and LA). The US rate only rose .1% yesterday. New infection rates are declining.
If you read the last paragraph it sounds like it is a blueprint that could be used for the US in the rural areas starting Easter Sunday.

So multiply the numbers by 33.
So it would be the equivalent of 180,000 here.
So they are doing a little better than us. I think we have 300k.
But it’s not terribly better.
I have never been there. Do they have dense cities?

Indeed, I read the hardest hit areas in Sweden were the Somali ghettos
Sweden is slightly better than the US and is tracking close to us..time will tell which approach is right.
