Very informative thread. Explains why NY's Covid 19 fatality numbers are inflated. They don't distinguish between those who die with the disease and those who die from it.

This is the biggest bunch of crap ever. If you get COVID-19 and die you died from COVID-19, not cancer, not high blood pressure, not diabetes. This sh*t is being peddled by those to damn scared to admit what is happening. There ARE FREAKING FREEZER trucks at nearly every hospital in the country. This is not normal. These people are dying from COVID-19, accept it.
BTW, I encourage those interested to go to twitter and read the threads for #FilmMyHospital and #EmptyHospitals. People from all over the country are posting videos of empty hospitals, empty ERs, empty testing sites, empty medical tents, etc.

New York City had an average of about 100 deaths per day of all causes before February 2020. If this number doesn't change very much during the COVID-19 outbreak, then the point about distinguishing between COVID-19 as the cause of death and COVID-19 as a secondary factor in death due to other causes would be valid. But that's not what's happening here. NYC hospitals are seeing far more than the "usual" 100 deaths per day right now -- which means the viral outbreak clearly is driving the higher numbers.
The daily Andrew Cuomo show is increasing his popularity and hiding the consequences of his corruption, misrule and absurd policies. New York state is bankrupt, is releasing gang members, sex offenders and other miscreants from prison and continues to waste money. People are ignoring the consequences of his ban on fracking, natural gas pipelines, and his plan to close the Indian Point nuclear power plant that provides over 25% of the electricity for NYC. All this vile man does is recite statistics and scream for money, respirators and more of everything. He has made it nearly impossible for primary care physicians from prescribing effective therapy with hydroxychloroquine in patients with the presumptive diagnosis before they become critically ill and need hospitalization.
His brother Chis of CNN has reported he has COVID-19 and is “self quarantining”. Someone should ask if somehow, someway, Chris was prescribed hydroxychloroquine and Zithromax, was able to receive the medication and is currently being treated. He got treated. Andrew Cuomo is making it impossible for others to receive definitive treatment. BTW. If Chris Cuomo admits he is taking hydroxychloroquine and gets better, his boss at CNN Commissar Zucker will fire him.

Fauci authored a piece last week where he predicted the mortality rate for Covid 19 would be between .1% and .9%, a flu season to a very bad flu season. I am not in denial about anything. These numbers out of New York are largely based off of presumptive diagnoses, i.e., no testing was done, but the doctors make an educated guess that the deceased had Covid19. Also, as the author points out the number of people in years past who die every day in hospitals of flu, pneumonia, etc. I suggest you take some time and read the entire thread posted by German journalist Adam Townsend. It may change your mind.
Not all cases are reported, and not all tests are screened. Our neighbor’s son was given the test and waited for results. When he did not hear from them he called. They said the test had been frozen and not sent in. There is absolutely no way to get an accurate account of cases.
Thank you for actually engaging in a dialogue. So I have some questions:
1) How many people are dying a day (currently) in NYC?
2) You say 100 per day is the average death rate in NYC? Is that the average in the month of March?
Thus is and will always be the case wherever FEDERAL FUNDING is at stake.
It’s why New York classified my snuff-chewing 94-year old great uncle as a tobacco death statistic.
