Not going to slow down, and more will die until people take this seriously..
We still have people taking public transport, planes, traveling etc.

Two weeks ago if we had shut down then this could have been prevented, instead we are doing what Italy, UK, Spain , France is doing.

PeakProsperity’s coronavirus video last night, pointed out that 50% of American adults have hypertension. Add diabetes, COPD, heart disease, etc, you have over half of American adults at risk.

The flubro’s seem to think that only those at risk are over 60 and those with co-morbitity factors. I saw allergies listed as a co-morbitity factor which means I now have 3. Great!

We’re starting to see a lot of anectodal stories in the press about healthy young people dying. I believe I saw that the average age of CV death in America is 63. That implies half are older and half are younger than 63.

And now cats are dying too.

Stay home if not for the old people, for the cats.

They quoted the death rate on Hannity’s show as 0.66%.

Let’s put that in perspective:

That’s 1 in 151 cases.

If unemployment hits 30%...that’s 45 in 151.

A study conducted in 2017 found that a 10% increase in unemployment would shorten the average life span of the population by 1.5 years.

We’re killing more people than we’re saving.

Windy loquacious balderdascious drivel

The President and Dr Brix have both pointed out that there are lots of locations and space where intense efforts are not presently required. The efforts and materials are being directed towards those “hotspots” in cities and counties having the actual greatest number of cases.

Meanwhile the media and all the democrats are working as hard as they can to use the pandemic to finally get rid of President Trump. Their democrat behavior is acting against America. The nay sayers should be rounded up and shot. There is no reason for them to continue to exist and place me in harms way by their hatred of the President.

My question is, is it now Trump’s economy? Or is Obama still claiming it?

I asked this question last week:

it looks like rain here and my roof has a small leak over the laundry room. Should I use Gasoline or kindling to burn the House down before any damage is done??

It really is quite simple. It is amazing to me that people are too damn stupid to realize the real consequences of an economic depression on health outcomes. I predict that 50 years from now people will be talking about the Great Depression II that started in 2020, much more so than the actual virus.

Americans are P*ssies. I am surrounded by hand wringing, begging and pleading for us to all fall in line to save us all. So darn stupid.

First, social distancing only saves someone in the respect that the hospitals won’t be overwhelmed. Distancing doesn’t mean you won’t get the disease, eventually.

Second, the group think has taken over. Just as climate change is settled science, social distancing is the ONLY answer. I’m watching Sweden pursue herd immunity. I wish them the best, and it’s the path I would have chosen. I am not a medical professional, but I can read.

If not for the old people then for the cats???

I love my cat.

They’re not worth destroying the US economy.

Just wow.

How long do you suggest??? May? June? Christmas?

Why are you so AFRAID of this thing and death in general???

People die.

We could have saved a lot of lives by not entering WWII.

But the cost would have been worse in the end.

The cost of destroying our economy WILL BE worse than the “cure” of hiding for months and months and months.

You’re a nice guy whose heart is in the right place.

Tough board for someone like that.

But you seem pretty thick skinned so I’m not worried :)

Have a good one.

Deservedly...this situation isn't even remotely like the REAL Great Depression, which my parents lived through. The author is an un-educated moron (and a world-class whiner).

A Great Depression caused by the great wussification ... caused by progressivism.

Maybe a 14-day near total lockdown would be better.

Even pharmacies, gas stations, grocery stores and truck stops would be closed down.

Only licensed hospital workers and first responders would be able to leave home and work.

Homeless people would get an assigned space on public land for 14 days.

You are so naive about how an economy works. No matter, you will get to experience an economic depression whether you think it is going to happen or not. I will check back with you in 6 months.

It’s not just the GNP. It’s the erosion of personal freedoms and the snatching-away of inexpensive enjoyments, like fishing off a bridge, at the command of little dictators peddling fear.
