True, and NYC is Trump's hometown. I suspect that he is so attached to the city that the Doctors' models have a greater effect on him and his decisions than if the same hot spot was on the west coast, for instance. For him it's very much personal.
In my opinion: There is something between shutting down the economy with almost police state rules in some places and "riding it out." How about having the elderly and people with underlying health problems self-quarantining and the rest of society modifying behavior to avoid catching a virus?
However being from NY he is smart enough to know that NY is extremely different than the rest of the country modeling the entire nation after NY is a HUGE mistake!!!
That is not unusual is it? I mean wouldn't we expect anyone to have the same reaction to their hometown if it affects people and families they knew?
