Not always, but occasionally the camera captures the face of EVIL. Gretchen Whitmer (Mich gov),
Obama (lots), Bill and Hillary, Strzok, Brennan, Pelosi, Feinstein...the cold psychopath, the zero compassion face. Charlie Manson, Ayatollah Khomeini...
Most other times it just captures unflattering face pictures.
It’s not just governors and Democrats. In Texas, county judges are issuing stay at home orders and curfews, mostly in Democrat run cities. One of the worst offenders is Republican Montgomery County judge Mark Keogh who issued at 12-6 am curfew and stay at home order for a mostly rural county. The urban portion of this county is mostly energy industry professionals (an essential business). It makes no sense in terms of public health.
Let’s not forget the Democrat Governor of Nevada outlawing the use of the malaria drugs to treat this virus. Amazingly stupid. But Trump likes the drugs’ potential so this Democrat hates it.

All the same. “When you see your chance, take it”. They are.
First there is a little panic. Then there is a little panic about the panic. And so forth. It does not surprise me in the least that most citizens obey the powers that be in a situation like this. To be sure, certain statists will use this health issue to maximum effect. But that is not characteristic of most citizens.
This is a refreshing season of discipline and learning. What a great time to be alive!
When this is over, Half needs to end on a tree.
As Trump says, we’re at war with an invisible enemy, and as far as he and the rest of us knows, Gov. Whitmer, female or not, does not possess supernatural powers that enable her to see what the President and Commander-in-Chief can’t.
In the Boston Herald, no less.
Maybe there is reason to hope for this country.
Now, what do all of these Blue states have in common that might lead them to such a conclusion...?
State and National “Chief Executives” by Constitutional authority have the ultimate executive power and by their essence have the ultimate responsibility and make the “final” decisions. The Left misconstrues this power as antidemocratic, which seems to be a term not appropriate to the situation.
It is the nature of modern media and civilization for certain events to bring about speedy, global responses. For us to nip this virus properly it really does take a measure of discipline at every level.
Inalienable rights are just that. They do not leave us even if we tempoarily suspend their exercise for the common good, i.e. to prevent widespread death. When we do not know what we are up against, this type of behavior is to be expected.
As I write this, it is becoming more clear that bans on gatherings and work shutdowns will soon cease. I’m not going to get all worked up about this temporary wielding of authority. In fact, it’s a good thing we have it. “Every man for himself” is a piss poor way to self-govern.

If the Rats take over the Federal Government (Joementia Biden and a random Liberal Woman of Color / 2020) the next two “Emergencies” will be Climate Change and Gun Violence.
The Herald is one of a few decent papers. The other is the NY Post. The governors are out of control. They were quick to assume dictatorial powers. When do they start using drones to monitor and shoot people who are out of line?
This is one of the reasons Trump has federalized the ready reserves.
