Well, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is probably the most hated man in Washington D.C. right now. He threatened to derail passage of the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill that sailed through the Senate on a 96-0 vote. Its a $2 trillion package that admittedly has some bad stuff in it, but American businesses and workers need relief as the nation fights this Wuhan coronavirus outbreak thats infected over 85,000 people and killed at least 1,200. States have adopted severe measures to stop the spread, instituting bans of mass gatherings of more than 10 people, closing non-essential businesses for a least a month or more, and shuttering the schools. The markets have tanked. It was imperative that the government compile this rescue package to help workers, stabilize the markets, and ensure that the flow of credit remains unrestricted.
Yet, Massie threatened to gum up the works unless there was a recorded vote, which would have put the entire House at risk of exposure to this disease. D.C., Virginia, and Maryland are virtually on lockdown, with the District recently shuttering non-essential businesses until the end of April. Massies antics forced scores of lawmakers to fly back in case he succeeded in his effort. This move had some calling for Massie to be expelled from the House.

True, that's why the senate did the same trick they did for Obamacare. They took a house bill and amended it by removing all of its text and replacing that text with the stimulus bill.
Rep. Massie tweeted about that, as did others.
Apparently nobody on Capital Hill cares about the actual intent of the Constitution as far as the origination of spending bills anymore.
If Republicans stood their ground and were good at bluffing, only the Democrats would have to fly back. Hmmmm, might have been a good thing. President Trump should ground Pelosi’s plane, and force her to fly back to Cali-fornia coach with a couple of connections. The queen bee needs a little discomfort over her shenanigans.
I stand with Massie.
To bankrupt the Federal Reserve

“Accomplishing nothing while finding a way to make everyone hate him proves Massie is a true libertarian. - ComfortablySmug”
Nine-eleven(9/11) united America for a short amount of time. This is merely dividing and showing the power of the governors. Mismanaged from the start. Much as the virus is indeed a virus, this whole thing is spiritual darkness in high places.
“Meanwhile, in the real world, a kid showed up at Kroger today to run the register as did older folks to bag your groceries.
Doctors, nurses and orderlies continue to report to hospitals to care for the sick.
The Amazon worker is still in the warehouse filling your order while you stay safely (?) at home.
The fast food worker, who is thankful they still have a job, was fixing your order so you could carry it back home.
Cry me a river if Congress had to be called back to DO THEIR JOB!”
Preach it! This cover-up by PDJT and the Dems is as black as the bill itself. One man stood tall, and for that I will be forever grateful.
It was a challenge to the lack of accountability in VOTING FOR ALL OF THE PORK in the bill.
The billionaire’s this bill is designed to help I’m really angry at him.
He held things up a bit, ehile Pelosi held it up a week.
"One Trillion Dollars $1,000,000,000,000 - If you spent one dollar per second, in a day you would spend $86,400. Over the course of a year, your spending would come to more than $31.5 million. At that rate of spending, it would take you over 32,000 years to spend one trillion dollars. trillion = 1000 billion.)"
(...maybe this will help to understand)
Each state should have to by law, make an accounting of every cent provided them for this 2020 pandemic bailout. IF ANYONE suggests this TWO TRILLION is not enough.... they do not know what they are talking about!

Too much pork in the bill. Massie’s challenge was correct.
There’s no more meaningless term in the English language that “held responsible” or “hold accountable”.
He picked the wrong time to “die on a hill”. The news was going after Pelosi for stalling on the bill. Dems were calling for her step down. We were finally winning a message and then a lone Repub has to go and give the DEMS another win message. Pelso and Dems: See we were going to pass it and then the REPUBS kept you from getting your checks sooner.
Revenue bills must originate in the House I believe.
If the American people really feel that way, well all I can say is that we are well and truly f*cked.
Why it only will cost about $23,000 per November 2020 voter!
Massie is right. Glad he drew attention to it and flushed out where people really stand.
Massie also warned us about bill 4 AND 5 in the works. BOHICA!
