I have always had trouble with the media calling people “experts” who are frequently spectacularly wrong and are pushing agendas, most often radical left-wing agendas, seeking more government control and less freedom for the people.
For example:
In 1970, to push a left-wing agenda, on the first Earth Day, scientists and others intentionally scared the public by saying billions would die soon because of a coming ice age and starvation and said we would soon be out of oil and other natural resources. The media just went along with these made-up predictions that were 100% wrong.
In 1989, the experts at the U.N. intentionally scared the public when they said we had only ten years left to solve the global warming problem. Most of the media, along with entertainers and other Democrats, just repeated the warnings that were 100% wrong because of the radical left-wing agenda they support.
Because the media feeds on negativity - “yellow journalism”. Sells papers and readership.
Also becsue they hate Trump and America and would love to see both taken down.
Worse still, much of the radical media outlets no longer want the public to see Trump. Instead they want to continue to scare them. Community health clinics are going broke because of this continuous panic-mongering.

Well the idiocy was fueled here by a decent-sized number of people and at the end if this thing isn’t incredibly staggering and it’s numbers of victims they should be called out.
They have led a terror campaign here for months now and it’s been disgusting.

They are actually counting the Covid-19 infected and dead.
While for “flu” they extrapolate using models and include deaths for people who do not test positive for flu. The normal yearly supposed number of flu cases and deaths are a fantasy. I believe it may have been during the Obama Administration (?) when they came up with these silly “statistics” for flu deaths.

I was good friends with one of the legendary news anchors in Charlotte NC. Numerous times he told me the way news organizations decide which news stories to run is based on “If it bleeds it leads”. This is just another variation of that mantra.
Because it sells, is incredibly cheap to produce, and provides outsourcing jobs to to severely compromised politicians and their staffs.
If it bleeds it leads. If it’s sex that’s next. If you SAY people are gonna die, that’s kinda bleeding.
Experts think they got educated when they really got brainwashed.

Have we learned nothing from the Weather Channel and its years of histrionics over incoming hurricanes that turn out to be duds? The people love the drama and tune in every time. The reporters fake bending in the wind while dudes in shorts play frisbee behind them; the terrible floods that are knee deep; and on and on. Great ratings regardless of how exaggerated it all is. And now we are a decade or two into governors preemptively closing all the roads for anticipated snow storms. The country is weak, sedentary and easily led.
