Having been in the news biz for 25 years, I can tell you that if there’s anything I hate more than “gotcha” journalism it’s butt-kissy journalism.
Kissing Chicom butt is even more reprehensible than unfair attacks on Trump, if for no other reason than Trump can take it and dish it out, with interest.
But some otherwise conservative folks are likely to be taken in by Chinese propaganda, if for no other reason than Asians tend to be fairly productive and peaceable immigrants.
Not that I want any more after this debacle ... It may be time to bring back the “Yellow Peril,” at least long enough to make sure we’re not letting in Chicom spies.

Certain people in Silicon Valley could FART and spend $20 million, and ‘promises’ aren’t the same as action. You will find the ‘massive donations’ will be more in the form of bribes to politicos in Africa to increase Chinese political control to help sell out those countries to the commies.
Donating to the WHO by ChiComs is like Hillary Clinton donating to the Clinton Foundation ...
Then the usual Trump bashing starts. The NBC apparatchiks complain that Trump asks (’soliciting’) for medical equipment FROM South Korea - which is not strange as ALOT of medical equipment is manufactured there.
The reality is : China is largely culpable and has had far more casualties in this Pandemic, most of which have been hidden ‘to save face’ (possibly literally for politicos who mishandled things - as in losing their heads and exposed China as tyrannical and inept). China, of course, can lose millions and sweep them under the bamboo rug, AND if all else fails ‘rule at the point of a gun’, as they frequently done in their history.
Just remember who these NBC ‘useful idiots’ are, so they one day deservedly can be given the ‘heave-ho’ onto ‘the ash heap of history’ — like their idols the ChiComs will eventually be.
