Our money is their money and by damn sure their money is their money.
We are over the hill on Agenda 2030. Down hill slide now.
Let the corrupt Kennedys subsidize their namesake theater. They can afford it.
Even if I were a RAT citizen, I’d be pissed, especially if the WuFlu put me in a desperate situation re job, etc. What money goes to this fru-fru crap is money I WON’T be getting. That word needs to get around so they understand how the elite RAT group is crewing them.
And they gave themselves a raise. For all the hard work they’ve been doing.
I’m thankful for the $75 million NPR/PBS got. /s
That's pocket change.
“Trump said today, he likes the arts.”
Big whoop. He likes Brioni suits, too. Do taxpayers need to send him some cash, too?
(I understand he had to make this “deal” to get what he wanted, i.e., the big bucks for the bailout. At least abortion and solar panels are gone — I THINK.)
This is a DISASTER bill intended to save people from losing their homes and or businesses.
The only consolation to bill like this is anyone who is half awake gets to see, in writing, where these servants of the people’s priority are.
Especially, the original House bill which was 5x more disgusting than this one.
They tried to slip in the Green New Deal lite into the original House Bill.
I was shocked that he was accepting of this. The Task Force briefing was the perfect chance for him to call out and shame congress and he didn’t do it.
Go listen again. He approved it to make the deal, “you gotta give the Democrats something”. He then put a positive spin on it, in all fairness they got hit too. The Democrats wanted this. To me it was one of his best moments. He gets it, if he thinks the deal is fine and he wants it; it makes very little sense to kill it over this even if you think it’s garbage and completely unnecessary.
Half of it will make it back to the DNC.
Yes. I hope he didn’t say that to curry favor, because we all know how that works.
This whole thing is dinner bell ringing and pigs lining up at the trough. We needed some relief for business and citizens, but The Kennedy Center?
Shameful.
25 million. TWENTY FIVE MILLION that could have been used in other places. Let the stinking rich dimocommie liberals pay for their play house. NOT US. Never been to the place. Never been invited. No normal citizen has. It is a play house for the rich and famous. Who gives a care?
$25 million?? WTF???
Unfortunately, that is 100% the philosophy that encouraged the Left to throw the entire Leftist Kitchen Sink into that bill. Everything from tampons to performance art center bailouts.
Note I am not flaming you on this. This is the Left doing business as business is done in Washington. It burns me that they do business like this in a crisis. Precisely why they did it. If it were only $25 million there, I wouldn't like it and have to accept it.
But it isn't. I'll bet there are tens to hundreds of billions of dollars in that bill that don't need to be there.
"Ten billion here...ten billion there...pretty soon you're talking real money."
Well, at least I didn't say "a trillion here...a trillion there".
Yet.
This is why The President of The United States should have a line item veto.
They didn’t save anything? The money is being made available and won’t mean squat until it is actually appropriated. Just like the money for the wall was in 2006.
Congress changes hands, the money goes bye bye as it would for every piece of non-virus pork tossed in to make the rats happy.
Hmmm..... when was the last time you went to DC and enjoyed a performance at the Kennedy Center?
Perhaps rather than foolishly dis the Kennedy’s who actually have nothing to do with the center you should visit DC and enjoy a performance there.
Just one more filthy scum Democrat trick on the American citizens.
“Bread & Circuses” for the D.C. Elites, they who must be entertained!
No, May 10th, a long time. I received an email last week.
