A major source of information upon which government leaders have relied to urge or order the canceling of public events, shut down of businesses and sheltering in place has proved to be inaccurate.
The Federalist's Madeline Osburn points out many members of the media and state officials are relying on an online mapping tool called COVID Act Now.
The site, with a map of catastrophic forecasts for each state, boasts of enabling "political leaders to quickly make decisions in their Coronavirus response informed by best available data and modeling."
"But a closer look at how many of COVID Act Now's predictions have already fallen short, and how they became a ubiquitous resource across the country overnight, suggests something more sinister," Osburn wrote.

Bump!
Wait, so we’re not all going to die now? Damn, I had the perfect obituary already written.
“Over the past 24 hours, the U.S. reported 14,024 new cases of coronavirus and 265 new deaths, raising the total to 68,347 cases and 1,037 dead”
This is the highest number of new cases reported by a single country in one day since the coronavirus pandemic began.
Let me guess. They’re also ex perts in gerbil worming.
The steps we have taken make sense if this is an apocalyptic type event. While it is really bad, it seems to be falling well short of that.
Even places like Italy’s numbers are settling down when most models were predicting runaway growth in cases and deaths.
It is still too early to know for sure, but it is at least possible we have been played.
You have to realize that a whole lot of tests are just now coming back!!
Yes, I do realize that. That is how we know the numbers.
My money has been on that since the beginning.
Any information that downplayed it, was deemed subterfuge.
Any fantasy at all was seen as absolute gospel, as long as it
was wildly negative in nature.
Some 15 second video was deemed absolute proof. It was not
deemed possible we could be being played.
hahahaha
We seem to currently, be heading toward becoming the world champions, in COVID-19.
Not there yet, though.
13,355 is quite a total though.
That is America’s total just yesterday, according to the website https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
Successful therapy against Covid-19 virus from New York State:
Dr. Vladimir (Zev) Zelenko Board Certified Family Practitioner 501 Rt 208, Monroe, NY 10950 845-238-0000
March 23, 2020
To all medical professionals around the world:
My name is Dr. Zev Zelenko and I practice medicine in Monroe, NY. For the last 16 years, I have cared for approximately 75% of the adult population of Kiryas Joel, which is a very close knit community of approximately 35,000 people in which the infection spread rapidly and unchecked prior to the imposition of social distancing.
As of today my team has tested approximately 200 people from this community for Covid-19, and 65% of the results have been positive. If extrapolated to the entire community, that means more than 20,000 people are infected at the present time. Of this group, I estimate that there are 1500 patients who are in the high-risk category (i.e. >60, immunocompromised, comorbidities, etc).
Given the urgency of the situation, I developed the following treatment protocol in the pre-hospital setting and have seen only positive results:
1. Any patient with shortness of breath regardless of age is treated.
2. Any patient in the high-risk category even with just mild symptoms is treated.
3. Young, healthy and low risk patients even with symptoms are not treated (unless their circumstances change and they fall into category 1 or 2).
My out-patient treatment regimen is as follows:
1. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day for 5 days
2. Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days
3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days
The rationale for my treatment plan is as follows. I combined the data available from China and South Korea with the recent study published from France (sites available on request). We know that hydroxychloroquine helps Zinc enter the cell. We know that Zinc slows viral replication within the cell. Regarding the use of azithromycin, I postulate it prevents secondary bacterial infections. These three drugs are well known and usually well tolerated, hence the risk to the patient is low.
Since last Thursday, my team has treated approximately 350 patients in Kiryas Joel and another 150 patients in other areas of New York with the above regimen.
Of this group and the information provided to me by affiliated medical teams, we have had ZERO deaths, ZERO hospitalizations, and ZERO intubations. In addition, I have not heard of any negative side effects other than approximately 10% of patients with temporary nausea and diarrhea.
In sum, my urgent recommendation is to initiate treatment in the outpatient setting as soon as possible in accordance with the above. Based on my direct experience, it prevents acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), prevents the need for hospitalization and saves lives.
With much respect,
Dr. Zev Zelenko

Increased testing coupled with elimination of testing backlog. Close to half a million have now been tested.
But one could also use the data to show the measures taken are working. It’s all a matter of interpretation, is it not?
Is the same outfit they used in the Iowa caucuses?
but we had to isolate the whole country instead of the vulnerable....
This will be known as the PANdemIC of 2020.
Dallas County actually included a chart from CovidActNow in their “stay home” order. There was little discussion of the source. They just included it like it was hard fact.
