Over 4 million New Yorkers — or 50 percent of the city’s population — will get the coronavirus, Mayor de Blasio warned Wednesday.
“It’s a fair bet to say that half of all New Yorkers and maybe more than half will end up contracting this disease,” de Blasio said at a City Hall press briefing about the outbreak as the Big Apple’s positive cases approached 18,000 with nearly 200 deaths.

I would guess that at least half the people in Eastern King County WA where live have already had it in the last three months and gotten over it. It mostly only causes problems when it hits a vulnerable population.
One thing that is interesting, is if you look at the official state by numbers... the sates that have legalized marijuana have approximately four times as many deaths per state as the states that have not. Why? I don’t know... but look at the numbers. Does smoking pot weaken people’s cardiovascular system? Gee, I wonder.
That’ll bring morale up in no time.

Possibly true. If true, and if the current statistics have any validity, that would mean that ~4-4.5 million people would be infected, and possibly 10-15% would get hospitalized (400,000 to 675,000). Total beds available in the city, including converted hotel beds, is currently ~23,000. There are only ~63 acute care hospitals in NYC. I hope none of this comes to be.
If they are all Democrats, I say, “Go for it”. Set a Guinness Book of World Records record.
