The point of the Chloroquine is that it increases the effect of zinc so you don’t need high doses.

Chloroquine Is a Zinc Ionophore (Allows zinc to cross the cell barrier)

Agreed! This is absolute Fauci anecdotal balderdash! There is No benefit from hydroxichloquine. Period!! You could have one thousand doctors find that one million Red Plague victims were cured by this drug, and he would say that without CDC testing for two years, those results are worthless.

You should be able to handle between 50-100 mg/day. Some people can handle up to 150-200 mg/day without problems but for no longer than 10 days. Too much Zinc “can” cause unwanted side affects.

Everyone is different. I’m 62 years old, I take 100mg/day and barely a whimper of flu symptoms. There are 2 others I live with, 54 & 58 that have the virus and are also on 100mg/day Zinc. They also are lean on symptoms.

Is that the demographic that is a big part of the big outbreak in New Rochelle?

A word of caution: This guy is a controversial physician who has been known to make exaggerated claims. His statements are disputed by the local authorities.

No. This is two studies. One with 500 patients and another with 350 patients. It is entirely appropriate to “break the study” when the implications are enormous. It’s over boys. If these things are true, it’s over. We have umpteen regional hot spots, each progressing at their own pace. Our mitigation efforts haven’t kicked in so we won’t see a big drop in deaths for a week but now we can have confidence it is coming. We have done what no other country on earth could do. It’s like avoiding a large scale thermonuclear attack and Trump deserves every bit of the credit.

You know, now that I think about it, every single patient that I’ve treated for the Coronavirus is cured!

If we can reduce this to “just a bad flu” with these drugs, we can get this country back to work.

We are already undergoing a "bad flu" with 22K deaths since October 2019. If after 2 months, the total deaths from the Red Plague is ~380, the regular flu seems way more deadly and infectious.

So, 7 months of flu = 22K deaths, and 7 months of Red Plague (extrapolating) = 2.66K.

Hmmm..

May Dr. Zelenko continue to achieve success in treating patients. He reports a serious outbreak in his community, and his tactic of trying to treat patients early enough to keep them out of the hospital and thereby conserve scarce hospital resources is a very good idea.

CDC and the FDA should send out some researchers to assist him in his work and collect data. Dr. Zelenko doesn't have time to be writing up a research paper, he is single handedly holding off a disaster in his community.

Mazel Tov!

I don’t know that I would buy stock in Quinilones, though. When we need a drug for this you can bet there will be a bettter one. It’s a terrible drug.

Which again is kind of an open-ended negative that cannot be proven.

As is "social distancing" IMHO. In any case, I've been reading mounting "anecdotal evidence" that this treatment is working. I suppose we'll see in a few more days after the NY trials. I can't say it works, but I've seen enough to say that I'd want to try it if I was showing signs of respiratory distress.

It’s not a cure, it’s a catalyst-like remedy that helps Zinc to be more effective in slowing down CV replication within cells.
