A physician in New York state claims he has used the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine and zinc to treat 350 patients for COVID-19 with 100 percent success.

Zelenko called Hannity yesterday. He was impressive.

WND so don’t get too excited. Either way we will know in a few days. The rats have a lot invested in it not working (think of that) but I don’t see how they could spike it.

Zelenko was on the radio with Hannity and he said he treated people at the first sign of respiratory difficulty and people in "high risk" categories with symptoms. I don't recall if they were confirmed positive or not, although he said he participated in testing. His goal was to treat them before they required hospitalization. His measure of success was their not needing to go to the hospital to lessen the strain on it. It's a good interview. Give it a listen.

Look at the numbers. With over 10% of the world’s reported cases, we have 3% of the deaths. Tell me about our “broken” health care system.

On the other hand, anything that can keep the worst of this bug at bay is all the better. If we can reduce this to “just a bad flu” with these drugs, we can get this country back to work.

Safety and side effects

Oral zinc can cause:

Headache
Nausea
Vomiting

When oral zinc is taken long term and in high doses it can cause copper deficiency. People with low copper levels might experience neurological issues, such as numbness and weakness in the arms and legs.

The National Institutes of Health considers 40 mg of zinc a day to be the upper limit dose for adults and 4 mg of zinc a day for infants under age 6 months.

Don’t use intranasal zinc. This form of zinc has been linked with the loss of the sense of smell.

I want to know what “success” is!

We don’t even know for sure what the typical duration of this virus is, and how “virulent” it is (I’ve heard some say it was awful fever/exhaustion for 2 days, then back in shape), etc.

We have a feeling, but it’s not solid.

So what does “success” mean? You only feel bad for 4 hours? How can we tell the medicine did it, and not the natural course of disease?

There IS a bit of ambiguity in that regard. But in his letter he says "as of today, my team has tested over 200 people for COVID 19 with 65% of the results positive". So he IS involved in testing. I did not hear him say, however, that the people he treated were positive, although I'd assume so.
