When is someone going to look at lupus patients who take this everyday and see if any of them got the virus? That is your trial and it is already done.

Very interesting thought. Although, I doubt the lupus patients are also taking Azithromycin. But, it would be a total gift if hydroxychloroquine alone was protective, wouldn't it?

It’s already known to be beneficial solo but the dramatic results have all been in combo with z-pack.
Think about all the ads you've seen from law firms over the years seeking clients who have been harmed by certain drugs. Every one of those drugs was approved by The FDA.

Yes, but we’re talking prevention vs cure. The suggestion was to see whether long term users of hydroxychloroquine are largely immune to even catching the virus by looking at lupus patients.
Fauci is stuck in a mode where we can afford to wait this out for a month or two. He is stuck in a mode of slow clinical trials and only trying things after the usual process.
In short, he is showing signs of being a functionary. Process process Uber alle.
We have two drugs with known side effects. These are not new drugs. We know their side effects. The combo treatment may be new and the efficacy might be in debate, but it beats the “wait and see” approach. We can afford to administer this. Other frogs continue to be tested as well.
You will know if it is working or not by the media’s reaction. If they start trashing it, you know it is working.
Treatment of existing infection is different from prophylactic use, yes. It seems logical that any protective qualities would be due to the hydrochloroquine but that’s an unknown to my knowledge at present.
As a longtime federal bureaucrat, the words “urgent” and “speed” are not in Fauci’s vocabulary. He prefers to take years/decades to do something that people in the private sector can accomplish in days/weeks/months.
I bet Fauci quits.....because Hillary wants to do as much damage as possible and losing him will be used against the President.
Dr Fraud needs to be moved out of the loop. Trump would love to fire him but can’t now. If the drugs fail in NY you can’t have this little weasel running around MSM saying “I told you so” and “Trump gave everyone false hope” after they fired him. If the drugs work fire him there will plenty of cover.
