I saw it on youtube-the 1 minute version. If you check the ‘replies’ you will get a better idea how out of it the left is.
This is time for bare knuckles in their faces.
That’s why Trump is here.
I have the greatest respect and admiration for him.
Just a gut feeling.
Obunghole was malevolent. Bush not so much.
But either way, those days are behind us. Fool me once, etc.
Trump changed the dynamic forever.
Agreed.
You don’t build a real estate empire in NYC in the 80s and 90s without dealing at least indirectly with the Five Families..Colombo, Gambino Lucchese, Genovese, Bonanno.
He’s still dealing with crime families...except their names are pelosi, clinton, obama... :)
He said it was part of what got us Obama and I agree. You are also right. But years of Bush bashing from the very start is how they got away with Palin bashing and being Candy Crowley- biased moderators in 2012 etc etc.
We needed someone like Trump to fight the media. The momentum really took off during Bush43.
The mass media has proven itself to be an enemy within. This has been the case for years but this time they have screwed themselves.
It has become the propaganda press without any doubt.
I was supportive until they rolled out the “DeBathification” of Iraq. You knew right there and then it was headed for disaster.
God bless our military for doing a fine job. The idea was right The implementation was wrong
“...Hes still dealing with crime families...except their names are pelosi, clinton, obama... :)...”
True that, brother. True that.
Since the end of the “Big Three Networks” days, with so many avenues for the real news to get out to us, it’s become horribly apparent how compromised they are.
They have no monopoly over facts anymore.
We have seen our discourse degraded by casual cruelty. At times, it can seem like the forces pulling us apart are stronger than the forces binding us together. Argument turns too easily into animosity. Disagreement escalates into dehumanization. Too often, we judge other groups by their worst examples while judging ourselves by our best intentions forgetting the image of God we should see in each other.Lots of leftist buzzwords in that 2017 speech. I havent researched who the speechwriter was, but this could easily have been an Obama speech.
Weve seen nationalism distorted into nativism forgotten the dynamism that immigration has always brought to America. We see a fading confidence in the value of free markets and international trade forgetting that conflict, instability, and poverty follow in the wake of protectionism.
We have seen the return of isolationist sentiments forgetting that American security is directly threatened by the chaos and despair of distant places, where threats such as terrorism, infectious disease, criminal gangs and drug trafficking tend to emerge.
In all these ways, we need to recall and recover our own identity. Americans have a great advantage: To renew our country, we only need to remember our values.
“..And Bushs comments on Trump (you know, the ones where they wouldnt say his name), along with his refusal to criticize Obama, said it all for me anyhow....”
Yes, I’d said that earlier. It was an eye-opener for me as well.
I attributed it to animosity over Trump wiping the floor with his brother Jeb, though.
Did you catch Trump call him ‘’smart guy’’? That’s classic NYC toughness.
The media still can’t get their heads out of the ‘gotcha,’ type questions. They are still trying to set up the President with their questioning even when we are in a crisis situation. Their job right now is reporting information that will help people survive not being front people for the Democrat party. They just can’t get out of that mode yet. Local stations down here where I live is all about helping neighbors and information. Maybe the national media will catch up. Now is not the time for their stupid political games. That’s my Two cents.
Why does he even take questions? He knows all they are going to focus on is harming his Presidency. They don’t give a damn about the virus or the people.
There are some terrible reporters, but the nation most assuredly owes a debt of gratitude to all those reporters at the daily press conferences that swell with righteous indignation with endless questions about the availability of ventilators. What could we have done with out them, speaking such bold truth to power?
Do we have enough? “And sir, we want to know if you are lying to the American people. Are you giving them false hope.” etc. etc.
Well, who knows. And being snotty and pissy because the health manufacturers cannot materialize thousands overnight will not increase the number available.
Also, the reporters cannot comprehend that for testing, as of right now, there has to be an infrastructure set up that also cannot be materialized overnight. Nor can it be conjured into being with pissy, snotty, accusing questions and attitudes from said reporters.
Obama had eight years to perfect the system we need right now, and never even thought about it, apparently. Can I lay the blame on Obama? Well, yes, since every thing he did was perfect, it only means he did not try to implement a perfect system of preparedness for a pandemic because we did not have one ready for this one.
Best President Ever
He didnt do much re his own H1N1 crisis
