The Trump administration has issued a Major Disaster Declaration for New York, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, officials said.
The emergency declaration Friday from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) unlocks access to a nationwide pot of $42 billion in vital aid from the Disaster Relief Fund, as the number of confirmed New York cases soar and critical medical supplies remain scarce, according to Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer.
“With no time to waste, the administration heeded the call and approved the nation’s first Major Disaster Declaration in response to the coronavirus, right here in New York,” Schumer said in a statement.

Marijuana shops are still open.
The homeless still run free.
Abortion mills still open.
Still a sanctuary city and state
Still an open borders state.
Illegals will be untouchable, in any gathering.
But did they shut down all the guns stores.
If 1000 LGBT decided to get together and party in the Broadway, no one would touch them.
So, basically, it is Govenors and Mayors assuming Stalin like powers in order to enforce their political policies.

There are two counties missing, at least; Oswego, and Cortland.
Make that three. Cayuga County as well.
The stats are misleading, as usual, for the increase in cases must be compared with the increase in testing, as well as total population. For the more tests that are done then the more cases are found, but which does not mean a great increase in infections. The more police set up radar traps then the more speeding cars are found, but that does not necessarily mean there is an increase in the latter.
Here which we see that NY has done 32,427 tests, with an increase from last week of +29,124, and the state has a total pop. of 19,453,561
In comparison, California has done 11,487 tests, with an increase since last week 10,319, and the state has a total pop. of 39,512,223.
Therefore a far greater % of the state of NY has been tested as compared with California, and thus far more cases are found, but that does not necessarily mean NY has more cases than California.
Doesn't mean NY doesn't have more cases either. Tests have been focused on suspected cases. More suspected cases, more tests. More infected population, more suspected cases.
If this is a “major disaster”, I’d hate to see a real one.
And 75% of that is in the 5 boros.
No travel from there.
Chicago and San Francisco might be prudent to ban travel from also pre-emptively.

We were doing so well. The two in Greene county are because of the visiting skiers. Hunter mountain closed down the moment they found out. We aren’t told who the two people are, just that they are in self quarantine. I hope they’re sticking to it.
