Home Invasion
At about 2:45 on Saturday afternoon, at the Carrington Place Apartments on FM 1960 West, in the 12700 block, a 53-year-old disabled woman resident used a firearm to stop a crew of criminals who were breaking into her home.
One of the intruders was killed. The other two have been arrested and charged with felony murder. From khou.com:
Deputies said the 18-year-old and a 17-year-old male broke a resident's patio door window. The 53-year-old disabled resident was home alone when the teens broke the window and reached inside and unlocked the door, according to investigators.
The resident fired one shot, killing the teen who was in front, deputies said.
The second suspect, Aren Lacour, as well as 18-year-old Ayanna Harrison, were detained at the scene. Deputies said Harrison was the driver of a nearby getaway vehicle.
Deputies said the getaway vehicle, a white four-door Mercedes-Benz, is linked to other burglaries in the area.
The Carrington Place Apartments are in the NorthWest of the Houston metroplex, near where U.S. Route 290 and Texas Hwy 6 merge.
The getaway driver suspect, as reported by the police, attempted to hide the pistol that had been carried by the deceased home invader. This is a theme people need to be aware of. The destruction and hiding of evidence by criminal associates happens and needs to be guarded against.
It is likely the pistol was stolen in a previous burglary.
Ubiquitous surveillance cameras are making it harder to hide evidence of crimes. While not mentioned in the reporting so far, it seems unlikely the Mercedes was owned by any of the three teen criminal suspects.

The getaway driver was female.

Glad to hear it. At least one of the little bastards won’t be able to harm anyone ever again.
Poor lady was probably scared out of her mind... but she stood tall nevertheless.
Thanks for posting good news.
They are protected by law. Nothing will become of them. The disabled lady, on the other hand, could be in for a world of misery. One does not harm the Government’s protected for any reason.

HMMM..... that pejorative statement is profiling by the TV news station. If presstitutes can profile, why can’t cops?
a bert profile includes that on the basis of names, the perps are blacks
There was a poster-meme a few years ago, one had a senior citizen in a James Bond pose, with a snubnose revolver, and the other was a wheelchair with a snubby-inhabited holster ... “These citizens also need the Second Amendment, to protect their lives!”
This was in Texas. From the article:
Texas law is the most favorable to home defenders, of any of the States. The policy in Texas is that all homicides are put to grand juries to determine if charges are warranted. It is a good policy which results in nearly all home defensive shootings being no billed, with no charges for the defender.
Maybe not so scared. Wasn’t too timid to pull the trigger now was she!

I looked the place up on Google. It’s a nice gated place, but the comments say people just sit and wait for the gates to open and that many cars were broken into.
There should be a law requiring the make and model of the gun to be reported along with the type of ammo.
It happened in Texas, not kalifornikator.
The lady will be fine.
teens?????
Those so called teens, can kill you just as dead as a 40 year old. Hope the two that were not shot and killed and their “get-a-way” driver all are prosecuted and sent to prison for a long stretch. Thank you LORD for giving this handicapped woman the power to defend herself, Amen.
This is Texas. Stand your ground. The lady won’t have any trouble.

Oh, I’m pretty sure she had the adrenaline and the “fight or flight” juices going pretty good... but she was probably pissed off as well.
There’s a difference between “timid” and “scared”. If she was timid, she’d probably be in the hospital right now, beaten up, or worse, in the morgue.
But being scared and still being able to react is another thing entirely - and she did.
Glad she did.
Give credit where it’s due, she’ll be treated fairly in Texas.
Texans tend to side up against criminals and crooked cops too, at least in my experience.
With the communists having taken over this country, those punks won’t be prosecuted. I expect she will be prosecuted for using deadly force in a “State of Emergency” where the people have no power anymore and the constitution has been nullified.
