Kitco News) - Gold and silver prices are getting hammered at midday Friday, down over $75.00 an ounce in gold as of this writing. As the U.S. stock market fell down from its sharp, early-morning gains the gold market sold off on notions of another rough day in the stock market that would put strains on liquidity in many markets, so a “sell gold while you can” mentality emerged. Then, as the U.S. stock indexes stabilized and started to move back higher, notions resurfaced that the worst of the coronavirus-induced market panic has passed. This rallied the U.S. stock indexes and the U.S. dollar index, which in turn added to more selling pressure in the gold and silver markets. “It’s just crazy,” said one longtime metals market watcher. President Trump is reportedly going to declare a national emergency Friday afternoon. The fireworks in the global marketplace are far from over, even if the peak panic period of this market shock has now passed—which is still very dabtable. April gold was last down $72.60 at $1,519.10.

THe last three Fridays have had big moves in the afternoon. THis had the added punch of a President who performed well and needed to do what he needed to do to ease the panic
Whether it holds or not remains to be seen. The $VIX is still sky high
Business insider reported that he himself said he tested negative; do I trust BI, no, do I trust him, no, but I have to think that if our government really believed he was positive, Pence would have been tested, and Pence said he wasn’t, so it seems odd.
I worry when I see Trump and Pence together in a room, because the thought of both of them being in quarantine, and maybe in the hospital, is scary — because Pelosi is next in line for the Presidency.

Reminds me of the time back in my younger days when the old boiler in our utility room started making this god-awful noise. I thought the thing was about to blow, and for just a few seconds I stood there, advancing and retreating; advancing and retreating, terrified that it would blow and thinking at the same time that I had to act.
I finally came to my senses when I looked to see my wife in back of me, laughing her head off.
Well if the President of Brazil said that he tested negative it what we will go with...I dont really believe him. His aide and his lawyer have it...
And as for Pence not being tested...either he was and he is not telling us...or he doesnt want to because he would have to tell us
