Maybe Trump should shut down the White House press room.
Out of an abundance of caution mind you.

🙄 Oh come on! SARS-CoV-2 was first detected in China in the city of Wuhan in late November 2019. As such, it definitely qualifies as a foreign virus.

He should also point out that India closed their borders to all foreigners yesterday, and it wasn’t a bunch of white cracker types from Kentucky or Idaho who made that call.

Your strident message declaring the President to be stupid is a stain on Free Republic.
Your insolence and declared intellectual superiority to the President and hs task force of the world’s greatest disease experts is just pathetic

Well, foreign or not, it’s our virus now.

Doubtful. The Left is so thoroughly brainwashed within the confines of their little bubble that it's never going away totally.

No one had ever seen it before.
Perhaps we should refer to it as an “Alien Virus.”
That will “set them off!”

You, on the other hand were never aware of the narrative nor even the competing narratives about this escaped Chinese bioweapon.

"Now, why the president would go as far as to describe it as a foreign virus? Certainly because it is the truth.
Probably because China suffered from the release of bio-hazards from their research facilities weapons labs on at least 12 previous occasions?
Probably because COVID-19 is the product of a research project to fuse a coronavirus (for easier spread and transmission) with a viral pneumonia (to increase lethality) that was inadvertently released by a "Clumsy Insider" before it was ready for prime time.
COVID-19 is NOT a bio-weapon (yet), because the Chinese have not (yet) developed a vaccine for it.

“This thing is, wrongly or rightly, *perceived* as Life and Death by many, including a fair portion of his would-be voters.”
Sadly, this is true to some extent, if you agree with the “perception is reality” saying.
Helping to further the panic narrative are some of the left-wing people on Pence’s team (snakes) who have a political interest in fomenting chaos.

Lyme, Connecticut actually. If it had been discovered here the first case no doubt would have been in either Intercourse or Beaver.

Wasn’t Ebola named after a river in Africa — a FOREIGN river? Did Obama ever say the word, “Ebola”, back in 2014? If so, he must apologize, immediately.
