No one should flaunt safety by refusing to take precautions to avoid contracting the coronavirus, but there is also no reason to be panicked about it.
First of all, the virus seems to be targeting elderly patients the most as comparatively few people under 50 have been hit with the virus. Children have been especially passed over by this strain.
So, for most people, simply washing hands frequently and avoiding large gatherings of people in public spaces is enough of a precaution to take over the next month or so.
The virus is nothing to ignore, for certain. But it is also not something to get in a panic over, at least with what we know now.

Do not panic, prepare.
Easy talking for those who are under 80...
Look up moral panic.
This won’t be the only shutdown.
Tell it to the WHO
So, by now, everyone knows and understands safety precautions. Regardless, we have to maintain the need to continue with fear and anxiety. Got it.
we have to understand part this has to do with legalities, lawsuits, OSHA, etc
there will be more
#1 because it is smack
#1 because it is smack
Exactly.
Nevertheless, those of us over 50 do feel a bit more apprehension about this thing.
The voice of reason has entered the building. Finally!
Not panicking is fine.
But I don’t like the guest host on Michael Savage yesterday and others as this one saying in effect, “I’m alright, Jack” the old British saying. Be calm because young people won’t be in real danger, just old ones.
Over age 60 and especially 70, applies to many millions.
We Boomers do NOT like to have someone say “Too bad, turkeys, we younger people are safely okay so we’ll go everywhere and spread the virus because we’ll only get a transitory illness. We’re okay, you guys over there are in trouble but it’s not me so I don’t care.”
Regardless of age, millions have diabetes. Lung problems like COPD. Recovery from cancer and possibly just off chemo.
Heart problems. Kidney problems (low kidney function for instance).
We have a role to play in helping America against the leftists as well as our work in being loving family members and doing things that justify our having the privilege of continuing to live. Commies push euthanasia because old people cost money to the state. We say “no.”
The only people I have seen getting the least bit worked up around here are the folks screaming about not panicking.
But, yeah. Dont panic. Its just the flu, bro.
The problem really is trying to avoid large crowds in public spaces.
It’s easy to do that if you live in rural areas and don’t need to commute to work.
But how do millions of people who take the bus, subways, and other modes of transportation avoid that practically?
Not everyone has the technology to work from home...
What do we do now? Not go to church? Get married remotely? Close all schools? Avoid shopping?
No. 1: Western Civilization is worth more.
I am a nervous wreck and all of my kids are over 50.
Lol. Perfect.
