Following another round of devastating primary losses on Tuesday, Bernie Sanders delivered a statement to the media from Burlington, Vermont. The one-time frontrunner was facing calls to drop out, with some are already declaring the race over. But Sanders made it clear that he's not going anywhere, saying he looks forward to debating Joe Biden on Sunday, and telling the former vice president directly that he has questions he expects him to answer during that debate.
Sanders began his speech with an anti-Trump tirade. “Tragically, we have a president today who is a pathological liar, and who is running a corrupt administration. he clearly does not understand the constitution of the united states, and thinks that he is a president who is above the law,” he said. “In my view, he is a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe and a religious bigot, and he must be defeated, and I will do everything in my power to make that happen.”
After getting all those adjectives out of the way, he finally acknowledged, "Last night, obviously was not a good night for our campaign from a delegate point of view." Sanders noted that despite his deficit of votes and delegates, "we are strongly winning in two enormously important areas which will determine the future of our country." He cited exit polls that show Democrat voters support his "progressive agenda," including raising the minimum wage, tuition-free college, and Medicare for all. He also noted that his campaign has the support of younger voters.

He hasn’t done it so far and I think the reason is Biden could fire back about Bernie’s heart attack. Just a guess but maybe its just an unspoken agreement.
The debate will be like watching seated batmitten.

I figured at first that he is just holding out for a bigger bribe from the DNC...
But then, I had a thought:
“Maybe he is afraid of his own radical, violence prone supporters and campaign staff, and is afraid that if he sells out AGAIN, that they will hurt or kill him.”
They already announced that there will be no audience in the next debate. Biden may be so desperate that he will admit he has the coronavirus to cancel the next debate.
Joe can sit the whole debate. Bernie should stand. He should say, “It may not be a qualification for President, but I’m standing this whole debate.” He could then tell a typical democrat lie, “I knew Roosevelt, Joe. And you’re no Roosevelt.”
Questions and answers will prove irrelevant. Just getting Joe trying to demonstrate he’s not senile will shake the race up once again.
His dementia can’t be hidden in a 2 hour debate, which is what Bernie is counting on and was in no way would drop out and miss this golden opportunity.
Then whom ? Back to a brokered convention.
Ds may try to flat out cancel the debate because of the WuFlu, though that is problematic since they’ve already eliminated the audience. But, they can not let Joe expose himself and leave Bernie as the last one standing.
They’re screwed. Schaudenfraude !

My bet is that either the virus excuse, or, the Biden managers come out and say that Bernie has no way to victory, therefore the primaries are over.

He’s bargaining for vig. This is his last shot (being 78) so he needs to make this withdrawal lucrative enough to support him and his family for the rest of his life.

Comrade Sanders just raised his exit fee! The Democrats have no choice but to pay him what he wants. Bernie is the ultimate con man. He can make a fortune playing this game with the DNC and his supporters. This is where having brainwashed, willing puppets fails for the Democrats. Bernie knows it and he’ll milk this for every dime he can get!

Right now Bernie has the Democrat hierarchy over a barrel. He’s going to milk this for all he can and why shouldn’t he. Bernie is a con man dealing with a bunch of con artists themselves. They need Bernie’s voters in November and they need to keep Biden from debating anyone period! Comrade Sanders knows he’s got a big payday ahead of him!
