Following another round of devastating primary losses on Tuesday, Bernie Sanders delivered a statement to the media from Burlington, Vermont. The one-time frontrunner was facing calls to drop out, with some are already declaring the race over. But Sanders made it clear that he's not going anywhere, saying he looks forward to debating Joe Biden on Sunday, and telling the former vice president directly that he has questions he expects him to answer during that debate.
Sanders began his speech with an anti-Trump tirade. “Tragically, we have a president today who is a pathological liar, and who is running a corrupt administration. he clearly does not understand the constitution of the united states, and thinks that he is a president who is above the law,” he said. “In my view, he is a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe and a religious bigot, and he must be defeated, and I will do everything in my power to make that happen.”
After getting all those adjectives out of the way, he finally acknowledged, "Last night, obviously was not a good night for our campaign from a delegate point of view." Sanders noted that despite his deficit of votes and delegates, "we are strongly winning in two enormously important areas which will determine the future of our country." He cited exit polls that show Democrat voters support his "progressive agenda," including raising the minimum wage, tuition-free college, and Medicare for all. He also noted that his campaign has the support of younger voters.

Bernie is betting that Biden's deteriorating mental condition will force him out before November. Bernie wants to remain standing as the runner up and presumptive replacement with more earned delegates that anyone else. That would put the party bosses in the position of overriding the voters to throw the nomination to someone else.
Two hours?
By pissing Biden off and into a tirade, Bernie can induce a TKO in the first half hour.
I’ve missed all the debates up til now but with two it might be tempting to watch until I think about it a bit. Half or more of the time would be taken up by Bernie ranting. Too much for me regardless of potential entertainment value of stumbles by both or either candidate. The high or lowlights are all one needs to see.

Bernie is upping the ante on the free gift he gets for getting out. So far, whatever was offered is not good enough. I wouldn’t want a free trip to Wuhan either. /s

this is a GREAT move by Bernie.
Now that there are only 2, Biden has nowhere to hide.
He can not go out in public to provide less gaffes. But, one to one on a stage, live and unscripted? it will be a dismantling of Biden.
Even the moderators won’t be able to cover for Biden.
One thing Joe seems to be stuck on is claiming to have been responsible for passing a bill regarding whatever topic comes up in debates.
Didn’t get offered the mansion he demanded.

Why would Bernie pull out now against an opponent who might very well end up playing with his toes in his next public appearance?
I’m thinkin’ the virus may be transmitted over the interweb. And it may have to shut down! Then the paranoid psychos would have no one to hear them shriek.
