Following another round of devastating primary losses on Tuesday, Bernie Sanders delivered a statement to the media from Burlington, Vermont. The one-time frontrunner was facing calls to drop out, with some are already declaring the race over. But Sanders made it clear that he's not going anywhere, saying he looks forward to debating Joe Biden on Sunday, and telling the former vice president directly that he has questions he expects him to answer during that debate.
Sanders began his speech with an anti-Trump tirade. “Tragically, we have a president today who is a pathological liar, and who is running a corrupt administration. he clearly does not understand the constitution of the united states, and thinks that he is a president who is above the law,” he said. “In my view, he is a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe and a religious bigot, and he must be defeated, and I will do everything in my power to make that happen.”
After getting all those adjectives out of the way, he finally acknowledged, "Last night, obviously was not a good night for our campaign from a delegate point of view." Sanders noted that despite his deficit of votes and delegates, "we are strongly winning in two enormously important areas which will determine the future of our country." He cited exit polls that show Democrat voters support his "progressive agenda," including raising the minimum wage, tuition-free college, and Medicare for all. He also noted that his campaign has the support of younger voters.

I believe the results from California are still being held back until the end of March so that Bernie’s delegate count remains lower than Biden
He has nothing to lose by hanging around until the next debate. It’ll be his last shot to derail Biden by trying to make Biden speak. :)
He has to stick it out because he has to know at his age, he’ll likely never run again. This is his last chance to be President.

Bernie - if you really do want to win just ask Joe what city he’s currently in during the next debate. For extra credit ask him what office he’s running for.
Bernie in 2024? Dude is going to be 83 years old.

Bernie is a dammmned liar to accuse pdjt of all those things without offering single shred of evidence about even a single one of them. Bernie is deplorable - at his advanced age he should have learned basic moral values. If a five year old boy acted a fraction as badly, he’d get his rump spanked. And fast. Bernie will get his rump spanned at the D convention since he’s refusing to bow out graciously. There’s no way the D party bosses will destroy their own party giving the old Communist their nomination. They’ll give it to a deceased Biden or even just pick someone at random from the phone book before they give it up Bernie

I think by being on the Democrat primary ticket, he gets skunked by sore loser laws in some states.
The really demented are the Vermont voters who enabled him for 40+ years!

His campaign is probably done already. His goal is to push Joe left....good
The DNC has talked about “plurality” of delegates determining the nominee.
If Bernie stays in with a few hundred delegates, and if Joe has a health collapse before the convention, Bernie may be the last guy standing. And he will have plurality. It would be awkward indeed to reject him at the convention. Perhaps Bernie will really opt for a waiting game.
He’s holding out for a bigger payoff than last time.
Keep on keeping on Bernie. If he holds on long enough, he’ll be in the catbird seat when Biden goes full Vinny-the-Chin and starts campaigning in his bathrobe.
