Believe whatever you ant but the actual kill rate of this or any other virus can really never be known with certainty and the closest we can ever come is to take an informed GUESS and then only AFTER the contagion has stopped spreading.

There are plenty of “experts” on how a kill rate for ANY disease is computed. You could be one, I know I am because the method is pure common sense.
I believe they are called epidemiologist and actuaries.

It’s (symptomatic)/(dead) that gives you the death rate normally quoted by medical experts and brilliant minds (like I am one).

The colloidal silver people seem to be the same people who bought into amway, then herbalife, etc. Nice people for the most part, but dumb as a stump. The hawkers of the crap should be taken out and shot. The buyers should be... well “Bless their hearts” is all I will say.
Problem is, the testing will confirm more cases, or in other words, more spreading of the virus. Given so little testing so far, that (more confirmed cases) will be the dominant factor. For example, 8x more confirmed cases times 0.25x the fatality rate = double the fatalities.
(Actual physical fatalities or cases won't change much - it's just how we look at the math. Greatly expanded testing will catch up with reality.)
Unfortunately, the same math works for cases needing hospitalization. If only 5% of confirmed cases need hospitalization (a quite lowball number) and only 4% of the population are confirmed infected at some point... We don't have the available hospital beds / treatment capacity. That will then push the fatality rate back up.
OTOH, we have some here essentially calling for a national lockdown and martial law. IMO that would kill more people than the virus. We are less prepared for the repercussions of those type actions than we are prepared for the virus. Granted that some of the preps are the same or similar.

This is exactly what I said. The problem is with the disease still spreading there is no WAY to come even close to estimating that number of potentially infected much less symptomatic unless EVERYONE is tested and I have seen no estimate using this formula.

Then at this point your guess that it’s lower than reported is no more valid than a guess that it might be higher, although I suppose it does fall into the category of “believe whatever you want”.

Now here’s a question: At what point is a virus a “novel” virus as opposed to a different strain?
Depending on which article one believes (have been linked here on FR repeatedly), researchers in China in 2017 (date of published findings, I think) identified 400 or 500 different coronaviruses in bats in some cave (or group of caves). The researchers thought they’d just scratched the surface. Some local villagers had antibodies to at least one of the viruses.

My concern is not finding the root cause /perpetrators...if those in his administration cannot find this through trusted channels, the global elites will do the same play again once this virus is defeated.
