What do I do for a living? Nothing, I retired at age 53 and that was many, MANY moons ago and who the hell ever told you one needed to be an MD or a scientist to figure out how to compute the most accurate death rate from a disease?

This is exactly what I said. The problem is with the disease still spreading there is no WAY to come even close to estimating that number of potentially infected much less symptomatic unless EVERYONE is tested and I have seen no estimate using this formula.
