I think you should be able to own a machine gun. See screen name. However, I don’t see that the government is under any obligation to sell you one that was procured using tax money. But if you want to make one in your metal-working shop, that’s your business. But it becomes my business if you commit a crime using it.

Cant one own a “machine gun” with the proper permits in the USA? I thought this was true at one time?

922(o) should be repealed outright. _Heller_ decision hinted at doing so.

Insofar as 922(o) is law, methinks POTUS should: declare all Selective Service registrants covered by the law’s exemption, authorize DCM/CMP to sell new M4s _at_cost_ (plus overhead) thereto, and petition Congress to allow a 100% tax credit for buying one every 10 years plus 1000 rounds every year.

You may won one in a lot of locations. Sadly, the government will be heavily involved in “allowing” it. Oh, and a hefty back account as well.
