On Saturday night, 31 states and the District of Columbia reported at least one confirmed or presumptive positive case, with those cases totaling 372. Including those infected people repatriated from abroad, and those trapped aboard the quarantined cruise ship Grand Princess off San Francisco, the total is at least 442.

Washington state had the most cases with 103, including 16 deaths, followed by New York with 89 cases and California, with 81 cases and one death. Florida, which reports 11 cases, has also seen two fatalities.

In the interior of the country, a number of more sparsely populated states reported their first cases on Saturday, including Missouri, Indiana, Minnesota and Nebraska.

In Nebraska, there were dramatic scenes as a woman who tested positive for the virus was rushed from a community hospital to the nation's leading biocontainment unit at he University of Nebraska Medical Center Omaha.

The 36-year-old was photographed being transported to the facility in a hi-tech isolation pod late Friday.

This woman isn’t a Nebraskan, she’s from the UK. She knew she was sick and she was told to quarantine herself, instead she chose to try to infect as many people as possible.

Or a person could die in a car accident but have been an unknown carrier of the virus.

That’s my point: who can tell what the rate truly is.

“People are fine one minute and an hour later being rushed to the hospital.”

This exact same thing happens many 100’s of thousands of times EVERY SINGLE YEAR during the annual Flu season.

Year after year. Decade after Decade. Yet, we go about our lives as if it matters not.

Automobile deaths outnumber annual Flu deaths by a great deal. Yet we every single day get into our cars with our children and barely give it a thought. If we even give it a thought.

Perspective. Perspective is important. The Wuhan virus is not killing people at a rate even approaching deaths by a very many other common causes of death.

Oh Please! This is just the flu the deep state seeded 7 months too early to get Trump! It’s SOO obvious! /s

And those losers in the PPE obviously don’t know they are dealing with just the flu! SOO much overkill just to panic the public! FR and all news media should be shut down to avoid panic. People can’t be trusted to evaluate reports and data for themselves! /s

The Rabbi who has the virus said that it is very helpful to have volunteers.

SO, you should probably do that in your community to those that get the virus. You wont even need protection gear..that cant be found anyway.

We have valid numbers and I have used those in my post.

It’s like you are saying since it’s impossible to really know, our National Debt stated as over $20 trillion, could actually be only $200,000.

This reminds me of a news clip I saw one morning this week when one of the airline had a couple of females disinfecting a plane. They had spray bottles, their gloves on, and rags to blot the liquid disinfectant/cleaner they were using. No masks, no special uniforms, etc. Seems like these airlines really have a special “love” for their passengers and the personnel who do the cleaning/maintenance of their units.

Yes. I recommend not giving it any thought and infect your whole family. That will show us.

Really? With an incubation period of 1 to 4 weeks how long do you think it SHOULD take to reach Biblical proportions? You’re arriving at a judgement WAY before the evaluation period has even begun to develop.

That is an excellent video. Thanks for citing it. Here is the link.

How Coronavirus Kills: Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) & Treatment, Dr. Seheult, January 28, 2020.

I've been studying my sleep a lot the past few months and I picked up some knowledge about respiration during sleep, so that made the video even more understandable.

Dr. Seheult does an outstanding job explaining what's going on and has very good visual aids. Very impressive series!

Okay, you win. Curl up under your bed and cower in dread and fear over a virus that could perhaps kill you. Or not. Never ever get into a car and drive it ever again. Why? Because statistically, your chances of dying while driving are far far greater than dying of any other cause. Period. Very few other actions an average person does comes close.
No disrespect intended. Honestly. Just Perspective.

All viruses mutate all the time. There are frequent errors when they copy themselves. Some mutations are benign. Some make it more deadly. Some make it less deadly.

If we have 96 million cases.
And 1% need ventilation support.
Thats 950,000 cases.

It’s estimated that the US has between 62,000 and 110,000 ventilators.

I’m guessing each patient needs a week on the ventilator. And assuming 50,000 ventilators in use at any one time. Other’s are being cleaned or not where needed.
950,000/50000= 19.

We need to spread out the illness over 19 weeks. Or 5 months.

If it happens faster than that, which it probably will because of the exponential nature of this thing, then we are in trouble with our health care system being overwhelmed.

The most extreme cases will need ECMO machines. And I understand there are very few of those.

I am in a HIGH risk category. I am doing what is right for me

Honestly dont understand the need of people to come on these threads and ridicule.

You dont have to be concerned..but dont harass and ridicule people who are concerned.

Thanks. I was actually starting to do that calc earlier today — how long of a period of time would we need to spread this thing out given exponential growth so as to not overwhelm hospital beds and ventilators. I figured it was about a half year or so. It may be nip and tuck. Hopefully moving into a warmer and more humid time of year slows it down, too.
