After drawing severe criticism, Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Missouri, seeks to explain why a theatre production, called Transluminate and which highlighted the work of several transgender playwrights, was held at a venue space owned and operated by it.
The church “does not believe in transitioning to a different gender,” Memorial Presbyterian Church said in a statement. “However, we want to affirm the human dignity of people with gender dysphoria.”
“Transluminate is a short-play festival and celebration of transgender, agender, non-binary, genderqueer, and genderfluid artists,” read the public invite to the event, held Feb. 29 and March 1 at The Chapel arts venue that Memorial owns.
Criticizing the church, The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood noted, “Details from the Transluminate event announcement describe performances that include themes of gay marriage, transgenderism, and even trans-speciesism. The announcement also included the following content warning: ‘Plays may contain adult language and frank sexual situations.’”

PCA Presbyterian Church in America is a conservative denomination. This does not bode well for the Presbyter that has oversight of the church. Must have been the last of the PCUSA churches that moved to the PCA in Missouri

Yes, the church says on the one hand, they don’t believe in transition of gender and all that, then at the same time, affirm the dignity and respect for people who do believe in all that.
Sounds contradictory to me. I realize I will get sent to re-education Camp someday for such outrageous thinking.

No- Stop the nonsense! you want to encourage immoral sinful behavior by not condemning it- Yuo don’t allow them to practice their immorality within the confines of your church- you condemn it and tell them they need to repent and seek help mentally-
Jesus told the woman to STOP sinning the sin she was practicing- He didn’t’ invite her to give a lecture on why she should continue doing it!

Might as well turbo charge and ramp up all forms of debauchery to hasten the second coming of Christ. Gone too far to turn back now. Liberal preachers infecting the church should just start encouraging supporters of all previous labeled sin to come forth, and receive their wisdom and teachings on Jesus’ desires.
Nothing like a fallen church to elevate and transform old fashioned sin into God’s desire for personkind.

Trans species is a misnomer. But those dufesses (dufii?) don’t know a thing. At species level the organisms can mate and produce offspring. But having sex with another mammal is at the “class” level. These LGBT folk are so craven with their sexual appetites they use any excuse to get their dopamine rush in their ignorant brains..that church needs to do its research. Very ignorant church people.
This isn’t falling away. This is apostasy and trying to lead people away from the true faith. The pastor and elders should be removed.
