A desperate rescue attempt is underway to save 30 people still trapped in a collapsed five-star hotel China.
Xinjia Hotel in Quanzhou City was recently converted to a quarantine facility for people who had recent contact with coronavirus patients, the People's Daily state newspaper reported.

I wa a going to ask, “a five-star hotel just collapses?” I don’t think I will visit China anytime a soon, virus or not.
5star hotel? What was it made out of?..bamboo and rice paper? Something’s off with this tragedy..way off!!

It looks like the glass-hung facade gave way and unfortunately brought the front-facing rooms down with it. In the back not as bad. It's almost as if the building was over load balance in the front, like hanging a steel curtain on a bathtub shower rod.

Maybe it is just me as I have traveled more time than I can remember and stayed in top tier hotels the thought of one collapsing begs a question....

Does anyone really have to ask why it will not be nearly as bad in the US is in China.
It could get bad.
But NOTHING like their disaster.
Communism is inefficient and ill prepared for disaster in every facet of addressing one
Building codes work if followed and enforced. I bet the truth of the collapse has already been covered upped. This type of thing should never happen in 2020.
