AgeNic Cleansing
What information are you relying on to justify the sarcasm?
Zackly!
Trying to be oh so PC and prepared...
For what?
The toilet Paper one really has me wondering what in the hell are they thinking? To me TP has one purpose, and unless they are expecting a lot more of it then I just do not understand the logic
Ahh, maybe they are so used to eating the crap from their candidates they need more as it gets deeper and deeper
You are what you eat, mentally and physically
We have been stocking up for a while. Haven't really bought TP or bottled water. I have a cistern full of water. A case of bottled water, not sure how much mileage that'll get ya...
Like the old Apple tagline says, "think different".
Don't be a lemming.
Idiots
I agree...They look like stupid scared sheep as they stack up all that crap in in the middle of their living rooms. As if any of it would prevent them from getting some virus.
My sister in law in Australia reports that toilet paper is totally gone from the shelves and feminine hygiene products are in short supply. Like in the US the media is whipping up a frenzy portraying the Corona virus is like the Black Death and smallpox.
Yes, we all know that media loves to stir up frenzy!
That is what brings the mouse clicks and TV ad revenues.
It is the same reason doctors seldom ask me what exercise routine I am doing. They are only interested in prescribing pills to keep the business going.
Follow the money, and all the smoke and fog disappears.
Yeah, I thought of that too. In the long term, governments will be saving billions while lowering the average voter’s age considerably.
It’s for when the CDC test kits finally get to where they’re needed and the new figures come out. That’s when the ignorant and the scoffers will run to the stores.
I think it’s wise to keep a good stock of those items you mentioned.
Most prepper clowns think ammo, food, water, and guns are all you need.
They’ll be the first ones dead when it hits.
Looking at the graph of lethality by age group from this virus, it looks like people collecting Social Security are most at risk. People still paying in to the system are pretty much safe.
Maybe people don’t trust laundering to get towels virus-free? Or they intend to do a lot more cleaning than they usually do? Just guessing.
I’ve heard discussion from some, that the guns and ammo are what you get first. And use those to get whatever you need next.
Not sure it will work out like they plan outside of the gun control states.
Wouldn’t try that method of prepping in TX, for example...
Ya.
I can’t imagine toweling my whole fat body off with paper towels.
Not sure there’s enough of that in Costco for that ...
Maybe they think it’s something we import from China?
IMHO it’s herd mentality at its finest. No forethought, just get what everybody else is getting. And that works out most of the time...unless your herd is defective.
I think herd mentality must be part of it. Or people know if there’s a run on something, it will soon be gone.
They are hoping to sell at huge gouging prices..A dollar bottle of water after Katrina in New Orleans was 10 dollars..to depressed traumatized thirsty people
I’m not sure the death rate chart is correct.
The death rate from the Diamond Princess was less than 1%.
Those numbers might be more believable because the probably did complete population testing. The major objection I can see is that that group probably got the best medical care available. Once the hospitals get swamped then your chart might be closer to reality.
“But theres still plenty of canned anchovies.”
unlike bottled water, toilet paper and paper towels, W.H.O has determined that canned anchovies does NOT prevent COVAD-19 infection ... I repeat, does NOT prevent COVAD-19 infection ...
DM has consistently published “panic buying the US” for days
we’ve yet to see any of that in my part of Colorado ... thought i think hand sanitizer might be in short supply ... we’ve always just used soap and water anyway ...
