Good grief ...
It wont take long...lol
That, and the Chinese smoke a LOT.
They also aren’t particularly fastidious.
Eager to hear your results.
I was kind of hoping I could get a cheap, last minute ski trip out of all the cancellations from others.
Good guess and I agree. Covid-19 will be missing from all media news after the election.
I read 52% adult males in China are smokers.
Add the air pollution that hits those in cities and you can see lung problems.
Yep Costco sales are absolutely through the roof! I read somewhere that they are the largest manufacturer of toilet paper in North America.
Seriously though, would you wait in line for hours on end believing that something was going to be left?
I’m all for preparing, but these folks don’t know how to do it.
If extreme air pollution drove the susceptibility to pneumonia epidemic in China, then the shutdown of industry cant hurt. The first benefit might be soaring Vitamin D levels from sunlight reaching the ground. Perhaps their lungs might recover over time, similar to benefit of quitting smoking.
for-later
The Breckenridge area only has one confirmed case...
I do not think our paper products ship from China. We have our own paper companies at least.
Wonder if paper products are required to be manufactured in the USA:diapers, toilet paper, sanitary napkins, paper towels, medical products, etc.?
“But allow others to draw their own conclusions based on actual statistics.”
Please, go right ahead and draw all the conclusions you want from the “actual statistic” that you took a cruise and haven’t gotten ill yet.
Note that there are 300-400 cruise ships sail every week.
How many are in the news? 2 so far.
Another note, on Grand Princess, majority of infected were the crew, not the passengers. Obviously the cruise ship did a poor job of screening the crew. On my cruise on Carnival on Fen 24th, any crew who had recently visited China was removed. And every passenger had to prove absence of recent travel to China with a signed statement.
AT the end of day, prevention is the best medicine. With this virus, best prevention is do not touch your nose, mouth and eyes after touching what others might have touched. I meticulously washed my hands after spending time in public places on the ship. Just pushing the elevator button can infect you if you then touch your face before washing hands. The skin on palm of your hand is tough and not easy for the virus to penetrate, but mucous lining in nose, mouth and eyes is.
I live in Arizona and I have not seen anything like this at all
Went to Wallyworld a couple of days ago and saw for the first time an aged woman wearing a mask.
No panic buying or anything like what is portrayed in the pictures
No masks
No empty shelves
None of the hysteria that is being portrayed
There are a LOT of elder folks down here, this is the new go to retirement location and I do not see them hunkered down or any of the other behaviors posted here
Hmmm maybe they are just more independent and less gullible than in other areas
I would expect more because there are usually a billion people there skiing! :-(
I am south of Jacksonville, FL and stores here have normal stocks on shelves as well. Looks like west coast has the most panic. All solid blue states.
I tipped off almost a month ago on stuff
Ppl can laugh but Ive alway believed that not having to walk out my door for several months keeps us well ahead of everyone else we are just discrete about it
Given the incubation period, they should be home - everywhere - by the time it kicks in...
My daughter and son-in-law are at Vail this weekend to enjoy the great skiing there.
Le freak, see’est Chic
All that pressure got you down
Has your head spinning all around
