A top animal rights group wants Marines to trade the reptiles
and other animals they're eating during an annual jungle training
exercise for plants and other vegan survival options.

As if.
Screw that bunch of silly, whining snowflakes.
"Top Animal Rights Group"...my aching ass.
I wouldn't give 'em the time of day.
Humans eat plants and animals. It’s the order of nature. Liberalism is the denial of human nature.
I’ll stop eating animals when animals stop eating animals.
During jungle training you pretty much eat anything you can catch. Like a wood bat that was in a log or some bug that you saw. After awhile it is the best food you have had.
If a non-Christian wants to drink snake blood more power to them. Scripture, however, prohibits Christians from drinking blood.
Marines to PETA: STFU and eat some tofu.
Marine to PETA: Phuque off, you insane pukes!
I’d try to trap something a little more appetizing. Stuff like snake blood and other nasty stuff can make you sick. I understand you need nourishment but to survive and fight you might have a better chance to kill your enemy and take THEIR food.
Since the Garden of Eden, snakes gave up any right they have to protection.
I can’t think of any group less likely to direct Marine Corps polucy than PETA. Except maybe the Socialist Brotherhood of Hairdressers and Interior Decorators.
Next time the Barbarians are at the gates who should we call-
PETA or USMC.?
I wonder if any military folks have ever come down with a disease from drinking blood or eating unclean or improperly cooked meats. Remember the Australian kid who ate a slug on a dare and came down with a disease that paralyzed and then killed him?
Do they taste like chicken?
My days of (peacefully)’patrolling’ the mean streets of Olongapo one could only imagine what was in the meat??? on a stick sold on streetcorners.
Most snakes are actually pretty damned good eating, despite the smell of some of ‘em, but I could never get past the smell of a bull snake.
No
My scout troop went camping in a jungle training area at Subic Bay. The Negrito trainers didn’t teach how to eat snakes. They taught how to eat fruit bats
In 2020 you May be surprised. Cant even have a simple stars and bars on a marine base.
Monkey meat on skewers on the streets of Colon’ back in ‘69 was some of the tastiest food I remember.
