Authorities searching the California home of a UPS worker who threatened a mass shooting found body armor, tactical rifles and 20,000 rounds of ammunition, police said Monday.
Thomas Andrews, 32, was arrested on suspicion of evading police, driving under the influence and several weapons violations, police in Sunnyvale said in a statement.
Authorities said they received a report Sunday night that Andrews was planning a mass shooting at the UPS facility in the city of Sunnyvale, near San Jose.
When officers tried to stop him three hours later, shortly after 11 p.m. PT, a pursuit on one of the states main thoroughfares, Highway 101, followed.
After officers stopped Andrews, they searched his Sunnyvale apartment and found thousands of rounds of ammunition, high capacity magazines, five tactical rifles, a shotgun, three handguns, body armor and tactical backpacks with ammunition.

Yep.
And he couldn’t have had more than six rounds hidden under the soap suds.
Does the FBI still work ‘hand in glove’ with the SPLC? Double teaming the crazies to round up vote for white liberal elites by killing innocents?
Good job UPS workers and good job police
I think given recent experience anytime anybody threatens to do something like that they should immediately be searched
Its training.
“Assault” rifles have fully automatic capabilities. They are used by the military and are not usually available to the general public. Tactical weapons are I believe.
I would prefer a strategic backpack.
I might go postal if I were a UPS worker, too!
(Not really, and I’m not—don’t come looking for me!)
One for each hand.
Tactical rifle = bolt action with scope.
The article conveniently neglected to say who the source of these allegations were from. Could it be from a shunned x-girlfriend? X-wife? An individual at work who doesn't like this guy? An angry neighbor who's had an on-going dispute with him?
Do you know positively these threats actually happened and were legitimate and not fabricated allegations?
An Armadillo is a Tactical Possum.
That's not what our government overlords and the complicit media tells us!
“Newman,,,”
What army in their right mind would make an assault using only semi automatic weapons?
Armadillos,,,
Make Great Helmets!
Stopping a potential mass shooting is no way to run a gun control agenda. Pelosi and schumer are not amused
Anon redflag?
“What makes a backpack tactical?”
The label.
“What army in their right mind would make an assault using only semi automatic weapons?”
None.
Either you’re missing my point, or I’m missing yours.
My point was that what has traditionally been mischaracterized as an assault rifle is now being referred to as a tactical rifle. There was no reference made to militaries.
