Either you’re missing my point, or I’m missing yours.

My point was that what has traditionally been mischaracterized as an assault rifle is now being referred to as a tactical rifle. There was no reference made to militaries.

Sorry, I missed the word “mischaracterized” and just wanted to make a point about the constant misuse of the word “assault”. It's a pet peeve of mine when I hear a semiautomatic weapon being called an assault weapon. All is good, I get your point.
