They know Biden can win, it may not be a blow out and may keep the primaries going till the bitter end but it is better then having a DNC spoiler hack running where Bernie and the Bernouts can point to and blame the loss on.
DNC sees that as a disaster going forward.
She played her part, Bernie did not leave Super Tuesday the victor and that is all that mattered.

I suspect the upshot of all this — cooked in long before the apparently sudden collapse of Klobe, Butt, Bloom, Warren, Steyer — is that Biden MUST be nominated, lest the Ukrainian connections come under serious scrutiny. It’s now off limits and there’s no way to remove all the bloodsucking ticks. DOJ, FBI, etc., will refuse to investigate a political rival, even indirectly.
Besides, they know they’re losing 2020. The nomination must serve another purpose instead, and preventing justice is one such purpose.
I’m not happy. Come 2024 we are royally shafted. By 2028 the SCOTUS will have 15 seats and CA will have 100 electoral votes, and TX will be utterly blue. :(
