Despite the efforts of the Chinese government and other agencies, the disease spread around the world. Public health officials reported cases on every continent. Coronavirus has become a global pandemic, and it has already impacted on the global economy. This, in turn, can radically affect our lives here in the United States. Gun owners remember how guns and ammo were hard to find because of the political climate at the time. What will happen if it’s a pandemic that affects our ammo supply? What gear will be affected? this question has been asked as long as I’ve been aware... the answer is quite simple... 10,000 rnds. if you cant beat them back with this, and then acquire your re-supply from the dead, then chances are youre dead, and you dont want to leave the conqueror with much... js an old mans cent and a half...

There’s the rub.
You could have a lot of ammo and get taken out early.
OTOH, you could die early because you didn’t have sufficient ammo.
All battle plans go out the window once the battle starts. But one thing you don’t use as the basis of your battle plan is: I’m gonna die early, so no use being prepared.
I've seen ammo (e.g., 22 LR) from the 1940s and '50s make a great *ka-blam!* (or actually, "crack. . . wwwwohhhh!") as if it had been bought yesterday.

That said, consider how many round you’d realistically fire in earnest before situation offs you (statistically, including 2 standard deviations). Plan accordingly, spend remainder elsewhere.
