Wait a minute...don’t people go there to get healed?!
To: AlaskaErik
Not if a bunch of sick folks show up.
To: 11th_VA
Isn’t this some kind of oxymoron or something?

Yup. Its supposed to heal the sick and a Catholic priest tested positive for coronavirus?
Not a good advertisement for a pilgrimage to Lourdes.

The Virgin Mary appeared there and revealed three events. Two of the three have already happened.

My mom went there years ago. She said the local people were what struck her as miraculous. They were very kind and caring for the sick and just seemed to live their faith.

No miracles are guaranteed , nor COULD they be guaranteed. That would be religious charlatanry. People pray for the wil of God to be done --- hopefully a healing -- but everyone is strengthened, whether spiritually or physically.
Nothing about a holy object prevents it from becoming contaminated. You could catch a disease from kissing your Bible, your cross or your mom.

healing pools
Might as well close them permanently since they don't work as advertised.
To: Dacula
You’re conflating Lourdes and Fatima.
The three secrets are Fatima which is in Portugal.

Insanity. When one considers what Catholics believe about what happened at Lourdes this is ludicrous.
Francis must have the disease.

At a minimum he might be dealing with pneumonia.
To: Hieronymus
You are correct. My apologies.
