This thug got out because the state where the crime was committed was different from the home state of the victim (his son). The mother has already been sentenced, although nowhere to near enough time, as I see it. These are capital charges in those states, but I’m not sure capital punishment is ever carried out anymore. I just watched the series about Gabriel Fernandez in California (Netflix). That poor child was failed by nearly everyone around him. I say nearly because there were a couple of people who did try to help him but the system prevented it. Through this series I learned about the “business” of child abuse and neglect and the companies the government contracts with (defense contractor?). Mind blowing!

We just watched the Netflix documentary, THE TRIALS OF GABRIEL FERNANDEZ., which is a must see for anyone interested in how kids fall through the cracks and are murdered by their parents with children services as their accomplices.
