Maurice ‘Isaiah’ Torres died of septic shock in an Arkansas hospital after his father violated him with a stick for eating a piece of cake.
Mauricio Alejandro Torres was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death in 2016, but it was overturned due to a technicality. State law dictates that capital murder offences that carry the death penalty must be tried in the same state as where they are being prosecuted. And while Isaiah died in his home state of Arkansas, the assault that killed him happened in Missouri. The disturbing details of his short life and protracted death were set before the court on Thursday. “This is a story of abuse, torture, and murder of six-year-old Isaiah,” Benton County Prosecutor Nathan Smith told jurors. “He suffered chronic child abuse syndrome. The pictures you will see are ugly, grotesque.”

You’d have to under stand the poor level of education including legal in these 2 states. Since I live in TN just out side the Memphis county line we get their news. They use our 1 public hospital’s trauma unit Elvis Presley Trauma Unit Nic Unit are the only A+ in the 3 state and counties area. The other states don’t want to pay their Medicaid share which they owe. Rest of hospital is the PITS.

No, he suffered from CRIMINAL NEGLECT OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES PUT IN PLACE TO PROTECT CHILDREN. In reading the article there were previous referrals from teachers of his abuse.
We just watched the Netflix documentary, THE TRIALS OF GABRIEL FERNANDEZ., which is a must see for anyone interested in how kids fall through the cracks and are murdered by their parents with children services as their accomplices.
Do you pay taxes? Are you aware of how much money is allotted to these child protective services, to do exactly that, protect children? So yes, we do need to post this atrocity here, as difficult as it is to read. These agencies are filled with lazy bureaucratic bleeding heart liberals, who are more interested in the rights of parents then the rights of children and it has to be stopped. Believe me, the only reason these two murdering thugs kept this child is because of the welfare money they received for him. It is not an isolated incident, it happens regularly and has to be stopped. Think of what this little darling went through EVERY day of his short miserable life. The tightrope he had to walk and, sadly, a piece of cake did him in.
Whatever happened to reporters who knew something about the English language?
