Two words: PUBLIC EDUCATION.

We need an amendment to the Constitution banning all forms of communism, socialism and collective philosophies. Short of that another Revolution is needed with armed conflict. The left isn’t going to stop until they crush us. So let’s party.

The same way a Michael Foot or Jeremy Corbyn could lead the opposition in the UK.
Let sanders be! He will be annihilated, just like Foot and Corbyn.

40+ years of PC pandering, not saying the words “ socialist” and “communist” over that time and longer

That’s just for starters. Feel free to add while you still have some freedom left

Indeed, a person consuming culture during the last 20 years of the Soviet Union's existence, as I did, would be led to believe that McCarthyism was the single worst crime perpetrated in the 20th century -- and capitalism its single most destructive idea.

That’s the way it was at my college in the early 80’s. I was already reading National Review at 18 and knew better, but the argument went totally unquestioned among my peers. Who are now in their 50’s and like their 401(k) balances...but probably still believe it.

America should have flung Bernie Sanders out of political life long ago - only the products of government miseducation have kept him on stage.

The Public School System has been dutifully laying the groundwork for this country to go socialist for over thirty years.

Even small details, like the free school lunch program. Flash forward a couple of decades and you wind up with THIS conversation.

Parent: There IS NO SUCH THING as a FREE LUNCH!

Millenial: Whaddya mean? I ate a free lunch every day for twelve years.

We should have been reacting a couple of decades ago. I fear now it is too late. Winston Churchill was right. We’ll do the right thing after we’ve tried this alternative.

My theory: Bernie Sanders has charisma. He’s like your rebellious old uncle, the one who would encourage you to skip school and go fishing with him. Folks are willing to overlook Bernie’s truly awful views because of that.

Until Bloomberg mentioned communism in the Nevada debate, when have you heard ANY public figure say that word.

Seriously I first started seeing it here after joining the site

How Can Bernie Sanders Happen in America>>>>>>>>>>>

Simple reason.

Too soon did we abandon the institution of tar and feather.

The founders thought we would always have it with us.

Bring it back. After a few applications, we would see a much reduced set of idiots trying to divest America of its Constitutional Liberty.

Actually, this isn’t a public school problem. It’s manifest by the democrats, but the problem began AFTER the US Constitution was written.

James Madison described the problem this way:

The right of suffrage is a fundamental Article in Republican Constitutions. The regulation of it is, at the same time, a task of peculiar delicacy. Allow the right [to vote] exclusively to property [owners], and the rights of persons may be oppressed... . Extend it equally to all, and the rights of property [owners] ...may be overruled by a majority without property....

Point is, by the US Constitution and founding fathers, you had to OWN property to be eligible to vote for a reason. Without this, you can VOTE yourself money and other peoples goods/services. When people who don’t pay into the Federal government in TAXES are allowed to vote for Federal government candidates, we have a problem.

Now...49% of Americans DON’T pay Federal income taxes. The way to make the Republic work is to make the INELIGIBLE to vote. Problem fixed.

Too many people do not understand what Socialism is.

They think public schools, municipal hospitals, parks, roads, municipal infrastructure, libraries, fire depts etc are socialist concepts and that we already benefit from that type of “socialism” so why not go further.

A Mother Jones’ profile on Sanders’s Burlington years, describes Sanders’s frugal existence: “He was living in the
back of an old brick building, and when he couldn’t pay the [electric bill], he would take extension cords and run
down to the basement and plug them into the landlord’s outlet.”

My, my how things have changed for the Sanders once Bernie got his hands on REAL money....in politics.

Sanders Defends Castro, Praises China for Lifting ‘People Out of Extreme Poverty-—just like Bernie raised his family out of poverty.

Swamp Report: Peter Schweizer Reveals How Bernie Sanders Enriches His Family with Campaign Funds (emphasis added)
by ROBERT KRAYCHIK , 13 Feb 2020

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has repeatedly used his political position to steer money — both contributions to his campaign

Schweizer stated: [In] 2000, Bernie was in Washington D.C, serving in Congress.

<><>Throughout his congressional career in the House and Senate, Bernie Sanders has used campaign funds to procure media-buying services from a consulting company founded and operated by his wife and her children.

<><>Jane and her children formed a new LLC called Sanders and Driscoll. The new firm was a for-profit consulting company, and was run by Jane, daughter Carina, and son David. The family ran this new business out of the Sanders family home. Because of the way it was structured, it’s impossible to know just how much money Bernie’s wife and children made from his congressional campaign. But critics would claim that Sanders doled out more than $150,000 to his family through the new company.

<><> Jane set up a media buying company; she would get paid every time candidate Bernie Sanders bought television advertising for his Congressional campaigns.

<><>Then, during his 2016 presidential run, the Sanders campaign would funnel $82 million dollars through a mysterious media buying company run by Jane’s former colleagues. That company, known as Olde Towne Media, was located in private home in a cul de sac in Virginia.

<><>As mayor of Burlington, VT, Bernie Sanders appointed his wife to an initially unpaid position in his municipal administration. Against the city council’s objections, he later put her on the payroll at local taxpayers’ expense.

<><>Schweizer recalled Jane Sanders’ previous role as head of Burlington College, a private school with fewer than 200 students. One of the college’s board members admitted that hiring Jane Sanders was a function of her marriage to Bernie Sanders — then a member of House of Representatives from Vermont — believing it would help the school’s fundraising endeavors.

<><>Despite its financial difficulties at the time, in 2009, Burlington College contracted with an unaccredited woodworking school run by Jane Sanders’ daughter, Carina Driscoll. Over $500,000 was funneled to from Burlington College to the woodworking school.

<><>“Carina Sanders’ Driscoll school also received at least one federal grant from the US Department of Agriculture,” added Schweizer, noting that Bernie Sanders had oversight over the USDA’s funding at the time as a member of the Senate Budget Committee.

<><> “I don’t believe in Charity,” said Bernie Sanders while mayor of Burlington. Schweizer concluded, “While Sanders may not be a fan of charity, he seems to have no problem awarding jobs and contracts to those closest to him.” “The biggest charity in Bernie’s life is Bernie,” said Schweizer in January.

:: Indeed, a person consuming culture during the last 20 years of the Soviet Union’s existence, as I did, would be led to believe that McCarthyism was the single worst crime perpetrated in the 20th century — and capitalism its single most destructive idea. ::

Socialism, -and all its damaged, off-shoot ideologies- is, at its foundation, an ideology of governance. Governing all aspects of life of those being governed. Islam is a “brand” of socialism.

Capitalism is an economic system, directing markets and money, not people. Types can be described as “free markets” and “regulated markets”. Both have input from government but not direction of the overall market (except in cases of “over-regulated” markets. We would do well to maintain this separation.

Once we look at markets as government ^derived/defined^, we have become a socialist society.

I was in the doctor's office yesterday for a periodic checkup and a man had a "Trump 2020" hat. When I complimented him on his hat, a old woman across the room grumbled that she didn't like Trump.

I said "Oh. A Bernie supporter. A communist."

She was taken aback and said sheepishly "I don't support Bernie...he's a socialist."

I said jokingly and politely "well, you may not support him but he's what your party is pushing...so that makes you a sympathizer, doesn't it."

I smiled and folks around the room giggled, but this women, the Democrat, was crushed. She put her head down in shame.

No pity on my part. Eff her and her party's candidate.;-) This is war.

:: Maoism was responsible for 50 million or more deaths, and Stalinism another 20 million or 30 million ::

How many deaths have been caused by the socialist ideology known as Islam?
Let’s remember to add this to the list of murderous socialist ideologies of the past.

Years of indoctrination. Years of propaganda in the media. A public that already is ultra-dependent on government.

Result: A millions of citizens can’t see what is obvious to me, that stripping hard-working people of their earnings, and giving them to lazy slobs, is the way to sap a country’s strength and bring it down.
