Dozens of Democratic superdelegates say they’re willing to sacrifice party cohesion to prevent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders from becoming their party’s nominee at the Democratic National Convention in July.
The New York Times spoke with 93 superdelegates following Sanders’s victory in the Nevada caucuses on Feb. 22, the vast majority of which said they believe the Democratic Party is headed toward a contested convention. Of the superdelegates interviewed, 84 said Sanders does not deserve to become the party’s nominee based solely on having secured the most, but not over 50%, of the delegates during the primaries and caucuses.

It is amazing... IF Bernie were doing this on the Republican side the media would have a 24/7 blitz of Bernie is NOT a Republican! They are only appeasing Bernie so there is no 3rd party formed where the libs split off. They don’t want a Democrat version of Perot/Bush/Clintoon! That is what is going on. Bernie is NOT a Democrat is what you hear these “Super Delegates” yap about on local radio and even national media. They allowed him in to the party just for the election to pander to the looney left! Once they are finished with him at the convention they will bribe him with a boat for his boat house home on the lake! He is finished. He just doesn’t know it yet!

You are correct.
The left does HATE Trump.
I do remind them when I encounter them, to think about how much they hate Trump, then multiply that X 10 and that is how much I hated Obama.
I also remind them that the election of Bernie is a declaration of war against the US, and I will act accordingly.
Very often these are referenced separately until the final amount. Every state win gives delegates. At the end, superdelegates throw in their equivalent of what I understand amounts to 15% of the overall total and then we see the final number of “delegates earned.”
This is how I understand it, but I would love for someone to chime in and correct it.

I don’t think the BernieBots will stay home in November if Grouchy Marx is paid off/cheated out of the nomination again. I do think it would be good for normal Americans to see them going bonkers in Milwaukee this summer.
Great post, after Sanders sets the bar for “Absolute” control all the others will seem “moderate” in contrast

Not since 1992 have the Democrats had to contend with an open election like this. Since 2000, the Democrats have had anointed candidates (Obama being an upstart exception in 2008).
